Bamberg was very pretty, and I tried Glühwein for the first time (jet lag and then wasn’t feeling well, so chose to wait). Man, that stuff packs a punch. I had one small cup and I am veeeeeeerrrrrry tipsy! We’re staying in Nuremberg for a few nights now, and there’s a train strike for a couple of days so we’ll have to just stick within Nuremberg itself.

Rothenburg Christmas market! Unfortunately it closed so early that we didn’t get to go to it after dinner, which was sad. Also the famous Plonlein. Rothenburg is so beautiful. If you like beautifully preserved medieval walled cities, this is a gem.

(I can’t work out how to crop it, so sorry if it’s still sideways).

My friend studied antichinus for her Honours thesis, so for her hens party we played pin the tail on the antichinus.

Also if anyone knows how to post photos right way up, please let me know 🤦‍♀️

Glug glug glug…

I’ve already visited Frankfurt and Würzburg and they’ve both been really fun. Frankfurt was very crowded but a great atmosphere, Würzburg was much quieter and more laid back. Super fun!

Mr Procrastinata and I are on holiday in Germany. We’ve arrived in Frankfurt and it’s -2° this morning! Heading for Würzburg where it’s snowing. Winter’s here!

My favourite adaptation of P&P. I love how deeply they delve into the story, much more so than the 2005 movie.

Have you tried audio books? They can be easier to pop on while you’re doing dishes or folding washing or driving.

Back in the days when I was a classroom teacher, one of my students gave me a music box Christmas tree that’s about 30cm high. We just use that every year. Super easy!

How do you know how old it is?

If you can travel, the doctors at Royal Park Medical in North Melbourne are the best I’ve ever seen.
