Yes, it probably won't be completely flat after half a liter but the fizzyness will be noticeably weaker and will only get worse the more you drink, especially if you don't get to it soon. Two liters are ok if you're sharing them with multiple people who will finish it right away or the next day but they suck for one person unless you drink a ridiculous amount of soda.

Because if you drink 500ml of a 2L bottle and put the cap back on, the rest goes flat.

Sourdough starters really only need a ton of babying when they're new. Like the other commenters said, it's just giving it warm water and flour, people recommend different ratios for optimal vitality but an established starter won't die because you went from 60/40 flour to 50/50 or whatever. I keep mine in the fridge and feed it once a week. I find it's a good balance of maintenance to usability.

As much as I love Orphan Black, I'm glad it ended when it did because the writing was beginning to go downhill in the last couple seasons. When my face gets sweaty, my glasses will sometimes slip off without me feeling it which usually means I don't catch them before they hit the floor. I could see someone pulling something out of the oven in a rush and not noticing that their glasses came off. Particularly if there was a bunch of steam or smoke and they closed their eyes.

I get that you've got good intentions, but this reads like an email I would find my spam folder and I can't imagine it would inspire any reddit mods to move over to Lemmy. The mods who were so dissatisfied with Reddit that they would be willing to migrate with the information in this script have already done so.

There are likely be some who might be willing to migrate if they get personal support from an instance admin or some other tangible offer of assistance, but nobody is going to jump ship just because "Reddit Bad" anymore.

Only by people who don't understand that NTS is about moving goalposts when a generalization is challenged and think it means "anyone who claims to be part of a group is part of that group".

Tablets are cheaper and lighter than laptops so if someone just wants to watch videos while traveling or commuting, a tablet is often a better option than a laptop.

Takes up less pocket space and the primary screen is more protected.
