I have pets and bought a new vacuum just a couple years ago. I went with Sebo airbelt k3 after hearing Miele had gone down in quality and I love it. This vacuum fixes every single annoyance I've ever had with a vaccum:
the canister rolls easily on carpet
the cord retracts perfectly every time and rachets out as you pull the canister
it's easy to take apart to clear clogs and even has a little spring flap behind the brushroller to quickly clear the most common place a clog will get stuck
the roller is trivial to remove and clean
the bags are easy to change and hold a lot of dust and pet hair before you need to change them
The K3 is a little out of your price range but the K2 and E2 are a bit cheaper. I will say that if you've got a lot of thick carpet, it's worth investing in a vaccuum with a powered brushroller like the K3.
I doubt it will be temporary, all news is going to be increasingly political for the foreseeable future.
I knew the admins were eventually planning on doing this but I didn't realize it had already started and that it affected apps. Unfortunately it's fundamentally at odds with the way I want to use Lemmy.
If you're considering buying keys from shady resellers just pirate the game instead. A lot of those keys are bought using stolen CC info and end up getting charged back which leaves the devs having to pay processing fees.
Also Humble is a retailer not a reselller, they get their keys directly from the publishers or developers of the game, they don't resell keys they bought from someone else.
While the US doesn't have a parliamentary system, it's functionally impossible to win the presidency without a nation-wide party with a presence in multiple states backing you. This is because the president is elected by the states so you need the infrastructure capable of winning a plurality of voters in multiple states which you can test by your party's ability to win senate seats or governorships. Additionally, you would need support of enough members of Congress to actually implement any policy while during your term.
Most third-party presidential candidates in the US are grifters or fools as evidenced by the fact that they'll run for president every year without even attempting to build out party infrastructure, push for alternative voting via citizen ballot initiatives, or win lower positions necessary to actually be successful.
Making third parties viable in the US is possible, but it will take a lot of work. It's far easier to hijack one of the existing parties the way the Tea Party and later, Trump did.
Thanks for responding, I can definitely see your point that it wouldn't be the best for some new Linux users.
However, speaking from my perspective as a new Linux user: all I wanted was an OS that I could use to play my steam library with little fuss and Bazzite delivered exactly what I wanted. I have no desire to make big changes and everything went perfectly fine. Steam and Firefox were already installed, the only other thing I needed was Discord which was easy to find in the appstore-like GUI.
Bazzite is definitely something I would recommend to new Linux users who are like me, folks who never bothered with Linux before the steam deck proved Linux gaming was viable without needing to learn Linux. There's literally nothing I want to do with my PC that didn't work out of the box. I didn't even need to install any drivers like I would on windows.
What makes Bazzite difficult to get up and running for you? I just installed it for the first time and didn't need to do anything else to get up and running.
That entire game was just forever chasing the high you got from that one time you had a really good party. I'm already finding myself glossing over the fact that 99% of them were awful and you only settled for them because you didn't want to wait around another 30 minutes for chance of a better one.
I had the same experience, my doctor told me the home ones are often worthless but insurance companies like to make you try them before approving a sleep lab because it's cheaper.
Stropharia Ambigua is edible but supposedly tastes how it smells: like rotting leaves. There's also some bitter/spicy Russula I've only tasted raw which are supposed to taste pretty awful even after cooking.
Muscaria is actually a pretty good culinary mushroom if you remove the water-soluble muscimol and ibotenic acid by parboiling it in a large pot of water.
It has a pleasant savory flavor that's slightly nutty and it sears nicely even after being boiled.
Have you read up on him at all? Luigi came from a wealthy heavily Republican family and was just starting to question right-wing ideology. Having respect for the feds is absolutely in line with the person described in this article.
