I want to own the games legitimately, just buying the rare replay and downloading the roms is piracy. If I could decrypt the disc and get the roms another way I would do that instead. Since that is technically legal.
I actually want to own this system, and if there are games for it that are best played on Xbox then I want to try it. The problem is that the list of exclusives are 12 according to Wikipedia which sounds off. Which is why I’m reaching out.
If I had a choice I’d buy my indi games on vita… which I did. But since it’s dead the switch is the closest thing. But I don’t just limit myself to switch, mostly games based on a controller. More demanding games get bought on GOG if it’s there.
H264 or mp4 file format is proprietary and requires a license. Windows includes the license thus why mp4's work but Linux doesn't include them outside of the Pro version.
Ffmpeg or handbrake can convert your video files to another encoding format that works.
I can agree with you that FreeCAD has a terrible UX and isn't intuitive. With that said FreeCAD is a powerful tool to use especially for the price.
If you wanna try it here's my workflow for a new doc:
Open a new Project
Go to Part Design Work Bench
Follow the Task Suggestions of, Make New Part (blue stair case), then create a new sketch
When making a sketch make the entire shape, White Lines are what will be projected, Blue Construction lines are not
Exit the sketch and pad it out
Build off the existing sketch faces and start new sketch
goto step 4 until the entire shape is done
FreeCad to Fusion 360 is like Gimp to Photoshop. They both do the same thing, but the workflow is different. While FreeCAD does have it's flaws, and trust me I've seen a large amount of them especially on large CAD designs with multiple parts. I honestly prefer it since it works no matter the OS I am on.
From my experience this should be the difference between University and College, but since OP never stated which program they were in, I presumed either the later or a pad prof in uni.
I remember while in Uni doing a Film and TV as well as a Game design course. We used industry tools like Game Maker and Premier Pro. But the skills we learnt had nothing to do with the programs. We just needed to show how to apply them in those software. I moved from Game Maker to Unity after the course.
Software. What's a computer without software other than an over glorified calculator.
That was my first experience with Linux back in the early 2010's and pretty much up to recently. However with changes to my workflow and Steam improving and sharing the improvements with Wine. My software library went from web browsing and office software t
99% of games, and all of my business software.
The UX experience needs some work under the hood. There is still a nasty tendency to over rely on the terminal to fix basic problems. (IBT=off for VM to work).
But its close enough that I can almost recommend it to my grandparents.... Almost.
The pink parts yeah. I've seen their eReader get dropped bashed and thrown around like trash (in the bottom of a bag.
The injection molded cases usually fall apart in about 6 months around the corners, and deteriorate from there. My pink arms are breaking on the layer lines around the corners at the 4 month mark, but they are holding together well regardless. Even then replacement arms are like 4 hours of printing and a few grams of materials.
The delay usually means there is an error somewhere in the file
In my case, honestly it's probably the fact that I over use constraints and external geometry, and the complexity of the geometry with Linear Patters, and Polar Patters. Each sketch is based off of the last and any small change will effect the entire design. There is probably a cleaner way to do it, but for now yeah.
Thank you Humble bundle for inflating the value for my account
