  • The average US household spent over $500/yr on streaming services in 2024, which was actually down YOY!

At that sort of expense, you would be much better served buying (or if you’re technically minded - building) a NAS at home and then just..

    .. yaaar! 🏴‍☠️

That way, you keep access to the media without having to worry about licenses expiring or the internet going out.

  • MAGA cultists will gladly eat up all the shit that’s served to them, and even gleefully ask for more of they think there’s even a passing chance that a Dem/liberal/leftie would smell their breath.

The US willing descent towards Gilead has been horrific to watch, as an outsider.

The sooner the rest of the civilised world decouples from that insanity, and hopefully bands together around the common ideals that the US used to (at least pretend to) represent - the better.

  • Bully is absolutely brilliant, and largely as slept on compared to its GTA brethren.

You can also check out Red Dead Revolver, Manhunt and The Warriors to experience the rest of what amounted to Rockstar experimenting with various gameplay mechanics before implementing them into the GTA-series proper.

  • A long time ago, I had a pair of Puma shoes that had a similar look to F1 driving shoes, and they were awesome due to their light weight and thin soles - ever since then I’ve a convert to that style of shoe.

Maybe consider the Onitsuka Tiger Mexico 66? It’s a timeless design with plenty of colorways, so you should be able to get one that suits your tastes. They are also available in mid-runner form in case you want more of a boot fit (padded ankle).

  • In the (now seemingly unlikely) event that Trump and his ilk lose their grip on power, people need to move swiftly to curtail Musk’s power over the Oval Office; to the point that stripping him of his wealth and imprisoning him may honestly be the only way left to save the Union at this point.

Sure there are plenty other billionaires who may be eyeing up his current position, but they would surely think twice if the likelihood was they too would end up impoverished and incarcerated.

  • It really is a spectrum, you’re right - some products definitely taste worse than others.

Pepsi Max tends to taste better because it uses a combination of Acesulfame Potassium (Ace-K) and aspartame (ie. Equal), whereas Coke/Fanta tends to just use aspartame.

I personally find erythritol to be the most neutral flavour-wise, and without that laxative effect in the event of over-consumption.

Stevia definitely has a herbal after-taste that not everyone finds pleasant, but it can/does have its place at times.

Maltitol on the other hand, is the tool of the devil - and I would only wish it upon my worst enemies.

  • The SSN is 9 digits long; so technically they would have to start re-using them after the billionth one. Given the current population size, and how many people have been born/died since its implementation - it’s fair to say they haven’t had to re-use any figures yet.

  • I imagine a lot of this is coming off the back of individuals/corporations/nations seeking influence over Trump; especially when you consider that something like 80-90% of initial tokens were owned by Trump and insiders.

A couple hundred million dollars is a small amount to pay for the leverage it could provide. I honestly think a large number of the biggest bagholders would be linked to the Saudi’s and Musk.

  • True, but it’s only a matter of time before it bites those people in the ass. Whether or not they’re smart enough to understand the cause (Trump/Musk chaos) or not - they’re going to suffer.

The best you can hope for this cohort is that they’re disenfranchised enough by the mid-terms to sit out the election and allow for a massive shift in the House and Senate.. but given how spineless and feckless the Dems have acted over the past four years - I’m not holding out a”much hope.

  • Glass is also quite heavy, increasing logistics costs for transport - but in an ideal world where everything runs off renewable energy sources and stupid people didn’t ruin things for the rest of us - glass would indeed be the ideal medium.
