  • In stark contrast to the other comment, I've hated gestures, and have actively switched every modern android I've gotten back to 3 buttons. And yeah, Nova Launcher till I die.

  • So here's my perspective: you should get a cat you'll love, because that cat will need to depend on you for care. Not going to be a great relationship if 2-5 years down the road you find yourself sighing, reminding yourself that "it's for the internet" and/or "I'm not a cat racist" / some other bullshit as you sign the credit card bill for $50/mo in cat food, litter, cleaning supplies, etc, or worse, $500+ in vet fees to treat an illness.

No, you need to love your cat because you love your cat. Not because a rando on the internet said you're morally obligated to love any/all cats.

  • I was facing a weird vampire dragon lord that was projecting and using his blood as a weapon and shield. He was in the process of using it to suffocate the party. In a fit of desperation, I googled "percent of water that makes up blood" and after seeing it was sufficiently high, I presented this prompt to the DM:

SO: we all know that blood is mostly water. In fact, it's x% of it (can't quite remember the amount...) So with that, I said I cast create or destroy water at 4th level to destroy 40 gallons of water from the blood

DM lets me, then says he has to roll some dice.

After a considerable amount of dice rolling sounds, he announces that the entire left side of the vampire went limp, and he fell out of the sky, dying rapidly. I saved the party by destroying some water as a 17th level encounter.

  • This is just my observation, but I think it's because the communities on PeerTube decided to just give up on controlling moderation of instances (perhaps because the instances were popping up like whack a mole?)

So they opted instead to just give up on the idea of any federation on the PeerTube branch of fedi, and now we have the isolated issue of today...

  • "Well, PepsiCo, you didn't buy enough ads this month, so we're gonna have to drop your verification."

He really is just doing his damnedest to show us how stupid he is, isn't he? And I suppose when it all falls apart, he's gonna run to daddy in his emerald mine and ask for bail out funds?

  • It's worth mentioning that HDMI CEC is spotty on Kodi. I've had no problem with it on a Pi or CCwGTV, but if you try to convert a desktop or laptop into a media center PC, chances are the HDMI output won't do CEC, and you'll need an adapter (further reading: https://kodi.wiki/view/CEC#CEC-capableHTPCs)

  • I had straight up just never considered that terminal file explorers existed. This post has opened my eyes, and so here is my Saved comment. (Maybe one day, kbin will implement saving without commenting...)
