  • Usually at that scale you create images with all this crap removed. When deployment time comes, the machines are reimaged from local/state IT.

I feel bad for the average home user that, at this point views more ads than content, and all this telemetry collection to boot.

  • Doesn't it currently only support like one or two games? I have a grandfathered premium account. It's a must for me for the few games I used to mod. Not to mention all the other mod utilities that outright don't work. Things the community has built. Not mad at them for not making another version of their apps.

Maybe one solution is for most games to have some kind of built in mod support? Bg3 basically did it. CP77 also kinda tried.

  • Technically, it can be played by one person. Two would be the more ideal bare minimum.

And ya you'd use them to play the game. With a game like this, or any other TTRPG you essentially have near infinite entertainment.

Not that such a low draw cause this level of drain. Maybe the battery is going out as well.

  • You can also setup local comms network for them and the bands they can operate in have better structural penetration vs most WiFi/cellular?

It also gives them a singular, simple device that won't be confused for personal notifications like a smart phone.

Not everything needs to be bleeding edge. We still use forks and spoons cuz they just work.
