There was a post where a kid was shooting a penalty against a professional goal keeper and the goalkeeper was blocking every shot. He was also posturing against the kid.

People were commenting on how great that was to make strong men.

I'm still trying to understand why you only get to choose between two candidates. I get how it works. But so many countries elect their president in 1-2 turns.

Also also, Switzerland's way of electing it's executive power is much better.

As a kid, I enjoyed seeing teachers struggle with those.

Now as a parent, I got to see teachers struggle with a beamer, same joy!

I think social media has put everyone in their own eco chamber.

Honestly, your democratic party is very right wing to most of European. And you saying people give up on politics and turn to sctivism is so sad.

If the government doesn't take care of his poor, minorities, what are they doing.

It blows my mind. But it's the reality. In an ideal world every minority should be against Trump. But this isn't the world we live in. There is a huge amount of immigrants who are coming from ultra conservative society.

Some latino who are well established will happily kick the ladder so that other can't come in.

So it's not super surprising. Homophobia and racism isn't only a white people's thing.

Philanthropy is just bullshit at their level. My grandma giving to unicef is not the same as what they do. They want you to believe this. But they have the power to shape policies and society in their favour. It's always about money and power. Whether it's for tax, or anything else they can shape through philanthropy.

If you play android netrunner, there is an asset card used by Corporation called NGO front, and when I hear about billionaires philanthropy, I think of the small quote on this card "Who new non-profit could be so profitable."

I've watched really too many of them, I really can't remember. It was probably one about the border with China.

This one is a fascinating documentary about a father in Japan, pro North Korea who sent his 3 sons to live in NK after the war.

There's always joking around when it comes to North Korea. Because of pictures of their parade and officers covered in medals.

But reading about North Korean society is always really fascinating.

For example I remember reading that the military service is about 10 years. Of course children of the Elite are exempt.

Military base are also very autonomous. Meaning that they are farming and fishing.

It's also very interesting that south Korean is sending troops. Probably to gather intelligence and help with translation or with captured North Korean soldiers.
