  • No, that's the complete opposite of what the fediverse is trying to do. Centralization and corporate ownership are the reason so many other platforms are enshittifying and failing. Having many servers ensures resiliency against that fundamental weakness.

I may have misunderstood what you meant.

  • Awesome, both of those are great. I've never actually played perfect dark so that one's definitely on the list. I also saw that there's one for majora's mask as well.

I'm sure they're probably working on getting the star fox to work on linux. That will be cool getting back into that one too.

I never got into the sonic games too much.

  • Those are all pretty good reasons.

My experience with all of it was quite a bit different, for reasons that were mostly out of my control, and it affected my overall impression.

It's good to know that some people were/are happy with it though.

  • That's awesome, and good to hear it still holds up. It will always hold a special place for me.

At some point, I'd like to do a deep dive into all these awesome decompilation projects that are being developed. I think it's going to be a lot of fun.

  • I recently tried both the last beserker as well as lies of P, and I just couldn't really get into either of them. I think maybe full blown souls games are just done for me. Death's door was great though, I really liked that one! I never got into Tunic, but definitely have been eyeballing it for quite a while now...

The developer interviews sound neat, can't wait!

  • Fucking Nintendo...

I think I've seen something about a decompilation project for 007, maybe that could come to fruition some day instead.

Thanks for the reminder that i need to play dkc3 at some point.

It's a real bummer to see all of these excellent handhelds being stifled because of the asinine tariffs fiasco.

Have you considered starting your own community on Lemmy? Just a thought.

    Also, thank you for posting!
