  • Sorry, the usual dehumanization tactics that have worked to give cover for decades of crimes against Palestinians has fallen apart. Israel is its own worst enemy. You can try to cover and smother the horror in Gaza, you can try to suppress voices that reject your slaughter but now that only brings more attention to that very slaughter of civilians, women and children. What's been seen can't be unseen no matter how desperately you try to control the narrative.

  • "...even as economists and policymakers say the U.S. economy has all but achieved a soft landing after two years of record inflation."

    disconnected much?

  • I misinterpreted, the loud aarch is shouting out (arguably) less friendly distros over what the first bird started suggested.

  • Gaza use their national resources, lol. You mean the apartheid that Israel has imposed on the Palestinian people all the while stealing land using illegal settlement building? That Gaza? Killing women and children, literally headshots to Palestinian children. Mass graves, famine...

  • I lol'd.

I'm an arch user myself, chose it because i wanted to get familiar with command line and force myself to learn a bit more about linux. Since choosing a DE was also paralyzing, I opted for i3 and now use sway and learned more about config files. Great part about linux is you can try and use what you like and works for you.

  • And Palestine didn't attack Israel. Israel never allowed for a Palestine. But a history of apartheid, check. History of land grabs and illegal settlements, check. History of dehumanizing an entire people, check.

We get it, you are all for dehumanizing billions of people and refuse to address the genocide, murder of women and children, mass graves, literally creating famine, cutting off food and water, happening right here and now, right in front of you. Because these are not people to you. Instead you want to direct people to some imaginary hypothetical of what someone 'would do'.

  • Party of small government until guns are threatened or women are given rights over their own bodies. Then it's battle stations.

  • You can't simply go after the agencies because the states themselves allow it. All of the wealthy playgrounds for the rich in the middle east, all the fancy buildings, all of them used abused and exploited labor. Qatar sent bags of cash to bribe EU polits like Ava Kaili as part of their sportswashing of their crimes.

  • "There is some serious poverty around the world to voluntarily do this." Yes, it's sickening and saddening and all too true. But exploitation of people is very much alive today.

  • Migrant abuse, exploitation and out right slavery is endemic in these wealthy middle east oil based nation states. Don't forget all the money spent on sportswashing, especially European football, and even golf, yes golf.

  • Woops, thx. I enjoy the comments people make on AT as much as the news stories.

  • Finally, I remember the Ajit Pai era all too well when the FCC was auditioning for lucrative future revolving door private gigs. Rather than looking out for consumers.

  • I get the feeling you cheerlead for big business and corporations over working people and unions.

    Troll alert.

  • Right wing fundamentalist cuckoo zealots run India now.

Modi, the RSS/BJP and their supporters gave cover to the barbarism that took place in Manipur, the gang rapes, arson, murder, essentially endorsing it. They cut off the internet so nothing could get out while it unfolded.

India has gone the way of backwards ass religious authoritarianism. Even assassinating a sikh activist on Canadian soil.

  • Tax dollars spent on fascist, racist policies. But a corrupt person like Ken Paxton is the AG.

  • That's nice but kinda pollyanaish and not a model of how economies should work. In fact the gross inequity between the wealthiest sliver of human beings against the majority is outrageous and immoral.

  • This is just an example of the AI-shitshow to come, both in and out of politics. You don't even necessarily have to get away with it, disruptions alone will wreak havoc.

  • It's a word that encapsulates our times very well. But I hear ya.

  • Productivity has gone up, wages have been stagnant, but retirement age gets pushed upwards, never downwards.

  • Just noting that Microsoft acquired Github back in 2018.
