This is a growing problem across the world. Blaming the youth for being led to the far right is not going to help. Fear is an easy thing to exploit. Blame the people and systems that brought us and those young people to where things stand. Blame the far right for exploiting vulnerable people with false promises of returning back to some 100 year old fantasy of nationalistic power and prosperity. Blame capitalism, neoliberalism and death cult conservatism, brought upon by their elders.

So the human shills that already destroyed good faith in forums and online communities over time are now being fully outsourced to AI. Amazon itself a prime source of enshittification. From fake reviews to everyone with a webpage having affiliate links trying to sell you some shit or other. Including news outlets. Turned everyone into a salesperson.

Since May 4, the Indian government has shut off the internet in Manipur, giving cover to murders, rapes, and arson.

This is pretty foul, but in line with conservatives wanting to control education and retcon history. Who controls the past, controls the present. And who controls the present, controls the future...

Basic income pilots nationwide have seen noteworthy success, despite conservative opposition.

I've learned that conservatives especially, certainly not exclusively, prefer if it people constantly had to worry about their livelihoods. Thus ensuring a steady supply of cheap labor to be exploited.

And the side benefit for those who sell God as a dog-eat-dog free market Capitalist is more people going to their houses of worship where they get reminded to endure because the afterlife will be great. Total win-win for money and the moneyed class who all the while eat really well.

I am somewhat amazed how much influence Israel seems to have over the United States. Even colleges and universities behaving as though they may as well be established in some autocratic, authoritarian state. It's like a signal was sent out all over the US. The same nation that brought the world NSO has people doxxing students for supporting Palestinians. How easy it's become to dehumanize people, women and children, babies even because the religious fervor truly has the right wing zealots believing they are "the chosen people". The dehumanization of Palestinian people is quite disgusting.

Another reminder that religion and politics should never be allowed to mix anywhere.
