I have a nostalgic affection for making my own maps. I remember discovering hidden rooms based on unfilled squares of graph paper, and mapping mazes of twisty corridors, both all alike and all different. I think that translating the digital representation to physical added vividness to the imaginary worlds when they were presented as simple wireframes, 8-bit graphics, or even just text.
Today, I don't have time for it. I would almost certainly end up visiting the same - I'm guessing - half dozen places I could keep in a mental map, decide the game is boring, and play something else. Lazy. Jaded. Spoiled. Whatever - that phase of my development from reading static books, to reading interactive text, simple avatars, now near-photorealistic animations...the phase where I enjoyed the physical crutch for imagination is just gone.
It's ok now that Russia is run by oligarchs - oligarchs don't really have nationality in the sense of us peons. It was only that crazy, communist USSR they didn't like. Seriously: name me a significant Russian policy that doesn't 100% align with US conservatives.
Maybe we can gamify that a little. Every time a worker-bee completes a task, the machine delivers a slap and a photo to the worker. We can collect them like sortie markers on WWII bombers. Boss gets feedback on how productive his employees are, and employees get to compete for points.
I don't know about proper induction cooktops, but the hot plates all seem to use mechanical relays to switch power, so they're limited to far less than 16 MHz. Most seem to use regular, industrial controls that operate at more like 1-0.1 Hz.
I honestly don't think you'd want to use anything but a mechanical relay to switch 10-15 amps. Do that with a solid state relay, and you're going to waste 15-25 W in a small package that will have to be radiated somewhere.

This is why it's so important to have (and use) a hood that vents to the outside. These used to be standard features in homes, but it's increasingly common just to have a recirculating hood with a grease filter. If you're in one o those kitchens, open a window.
I got an induction hotplate for around $50. Took one of the burners and grate out of my gas stove & put the hotplate there. It's great for day-to-day, and the other burners are still there if I want to make a production.

And for a game where exploration is a major theme, exploration is pretty strongly disincentivized. I gotta spend 3 minutes holding W to get to the closest point of interest from whatever my landing site was, and there's nothing but empty planet and a couple lead nodes in between? Or I can just pull up the quest and fast travel to the desto, skipping all the walking and loading screens?
They "found no evidence" means no quid-pro-quo documents, no one (of the limited pool they were allowed to talk to) admitted to a quid-pro-quo plan or agreement, and that they couldn't prove a causal link through specific Russian actors between Trump's "Russia, if you're listening..." and an allegedly Russian organization hacking the DNC. They couldn't get any Russians to admit to an exchange of instructions with the Trump campaign, in part because they're all in Russia and never interviewed.
They did find a lot of evidence of obstruction of justice, like Trump threatening people who'd be in position to know about quid-pro-quo plans and agreements and those people refusing to answer questions, and those are the accusations they claimed to be unable to make because of the sitting-President thing.
Keep in mind that representatives are really still playing high school gossip games as their day-to-day life, and I'm imagining a dialog like:
MAGAists: you'll never elect a speaker without us. That makes it our party and we're the boss.
OldGOP: Everyone else wants to make Steve Scalise the speaker, and you can have these fancy titles if you go along.
MAGAists: Nah, we tried that with whats-his-name. We're the boss now.
OldGOP: eyeroll Fine, put up your guy and see what happens.

Anticipation is its own thing. Anticipation of travel is the main reason I never travel. I'm rarely bothered by the actual journey; I just don't want to have it hanging over me.

I kinda want to see if we can post enough screenshots from DayZ and Left 4 Dead, calling them photos from our neighborhood to get the AI media to report on a global zombie virus.
