World champion Max Verstappen said last year that a 24-race calendar was “not sustainable,” a feeling shared by peers including George Russell and Fernando Alonso. Verstappen thought people working in F1 would end up having shorter careers due to the length of the calendar.
Even Crofty and Brundle skip races, I can't imagine how hard it is for the teams. And yet, despite so many races, we keep losing real race tracks and replacing them with faceless street circuits 🤷
My favorite is when they don't have this check, but silently slice the string to meet the requirement, so that you can't login with the original password the next time.
That reminds me of Putin's argument on why a person who threw a plastic drinking glass at a policeman was arrested: "Today they throw plastic drinking glasses, tomorrow they'll start throwing molotovs, then - killing people."
Wow, I destroyed your original argument, so you brought a new one without even acknowledging that you were wrong. It's a brilliant way to never lose an argument.
What's the actual argument here? If Mercurial satisfies/satisfied the development team, then they should use it. I don't find this crazy. Like others pointed out, it's not like Mercurial was a dead project without maintenance.
