Left or right is a bad metaphor anyway. Or at least obsolete if it used to work. I had a group trying to convince me war was bad in all circumstances, but Ukraine shouldn't fight bad after it was invaded. It wasn't Russia's fault that they invaded. It was Ukraine's fault for resisting causing the war. This naked transparency actually helped. They're just pro Russia. Good, bad or ugly, they just like Russia. So they don't bother me anymore. But I also don't engage because it won't go anywhere.

That's good to hear. Unfortunately, the courts make the issue confusing.

If you spent $800 on an oring and it fails and the plane goes down, the manufacturer is liable. If you spent $0.05 on the oring and the plane goes down, you're liable. Like you said, paperwork isn't cheap. Because its basically liability insurance. If you made the oring, would you accept liability for $0.05?

That's fine but where's the line. If someone pulls up in your driveway, is it OK to shoot them? If they knock on your door? What if you have an argument and they throw popcorn at you? The last one was deemed reasonable in Florida. If you have a legitimate conflict with someone, is it just a matter of who kills who first? If someone breaks into your home, this case, he broke the glass and was trying to open the door. Can you shoot them? Do you need to warn them first? What if they were just outside walking around creepily. Is it OK to kill them? Can i provoke someone then when thry come at me, can i kill them? Where's the line? This is a real question because right now the rules don't make sense.

I agree with you, I do. It should be legal to protect your property. The problem is when you have a gun, everything looks like a shooting. If you didn't have a gun, how would you handle the situation? You could leave. You could lock yourself in an interior room and wait for the cops. You could fight them Kevin style. All of those options, at the end of the day, would give you a better chance of not killing somebody.

The constitution isn't a law. All laws I've read describe the punishment for breaking the law. The constitution does not. The government can't limit speech (within bounds). The government can't limit guns (within bounds). The government can't allow insurrectionists to run the government.

Even if conservatives go back to being about "small government", I can't see myself voting Republican. I don't think I'm anything. I can see "small government" working. But I can also see the democrats vision of "government should do things" working too. I can see either technique working. The problem is, back when Republicans used to promote "small government", I noticed after a while, they never made government smaller. When I confronted some of them on that, they used to say at least its not as big as what the democrats want. What the fuck does that even mean? Democrats, on the other hand, actually try to do stuff.
