  • I'm living that way bc the economy was so bad in my 20s, and I feel like I've missed out. Couldn't afford a house, or kids, or travel. I'm doing a little better now but a decade passed without me having many options.

  • I have never been scared of snakes. They aren't spooky, they don't turn my stomach. The phobia has never made sense to me.

But I think if I saw that thing slither by while diving I would get it. Huh.

  • Have you found Spanish Obsessed? It's a Colombian/English couple who just have conversations in Spanish about random topics at an intermediate level.

They have several podcasts, so make sure to find the intermediate level for the conversations. Their beginner level has much more spoken English and basic Spanish vocab, which I'm not as into.

  • Sorry, but it just gets more expensive to care for them later. Aim for at least a yearly cleaning/exam so that they can catch issues before they become serious. Twice a year is better.

And find a dentist that is conservative about fillings. My dentist almost never recommends procedures unless there is actual decay, and I trust them to not push work on me that I don't need.

  • Try this: when you first started working, what were people with 20 years of experience making in your industry? How does that compare to what you make with the same 20 years of experience now?

My income has not doubled in the 10 years I've been working full time. But, more importantly, the amount of money people with 10 years of experience were making when I first started is not drastically different from what I am making with the same experience now.
