  • There's nothing wrong with using red onions. It's just not usually what the recipe calls for in Mexican dishes.

Many Mexican dishes are improved by adding pickled onions, and red onions are best for that. They make lovely pink brine with pink pickled onions.

  • Well he would not be liable to criminal prosecution, but that says nothing of whether the loans have to be forgiven upon his declaration.

The immunity just stops him from facing personal legal consequences and only after SCOTUS confirms any crimes were committed during an official act. How do they test for that? They haven't said and will make up reasons to help/hurt whoever they want on a case by case basis.

Are there laws Biden could break that would force loan forgiveness, and would the current supreme court side with Biden? Seems like no in both cases aside from more Seal Team Six arguments resulting in a new set of SCOTUS judges ruling on such orders. Biden ain't the guy to make that happen.

  • The article title is too early to be correct though. There is a good chance this decision gets judge Cannon removed from the case. Clarence may have made it much worse for Trump.

Even this supreme court is not going to allow the case to be dismissed over the appointment of a special counsel. No other judges joined Thomas's concurrence because it was clearly wrong. He might pick up Alito when the district sides with Smith on appeal and Trump sends it back to SCOTUS. But 2 to 7 doesn't give them the majority.

Smith may (and should) ask to have her removed over this and previous obvious bias/errors which I believe the district judges would also approve at this point.

  • You're missing the point. If he has dementia then his Presidential performance would show it.

So he either performed well as a President with dementia.

Or he is developing a new, extremely aggressive case of dementia that has been building just for the past couple months.

Well there is one more option that makes more sense to me. He doesn't have dementia, is still a good President, and just had a bad debate.

But maybe I really don't understand aging. Guess we'll know by whether he is drooling and shitting his pants in the next few weeks as the "aggressive dementia" either does or does not manifest.

  • Why would he not perform his job as well as he has for the past couple years? How does a bad debate performance tell us more about his ability as President than his performance... being the current President?

People talk about getting rid of Biden as if it wouldn't be a huge risk to declare a new candidate at this point in the race. This has happened before, and the party that switched candidates lost the presidency.

And why isn't anyone calling for Trump to step down? He's rambled and lost track far worse than Biden has yet we don't see the same calls for him to leave the race.

People are talking about Biden's stamina. Meanwhile he's done over a dozen appearances since the debate while Trump has done zero.

This is why we lose. Republican voters show up and vote regardless of what they think about the candidate. There's a lot at stake here, and Democrats refuse to accept the lesser evil because it's not a perfect solution.

We should be talking project 2025 instead of Joe Biden's brain farts.

  • My understanding of these trophy hunts is that they only allow people to shoot the animals that are no longer contributing to the gene pool.

They collect a ton of money to support conservation by allowing some rich guy to shoot an old lion or elephant or whatever that would have died soon of natural causes, whether a fight with a younger male, or disease, or a lifetime of accumulated injuries.

If that is accurate, I'm ok with this system. That said I have no interest in participating in it and have done little research outside of the information I've naturally encountered in everyday life.
