  • Using Infinity for Lemmy right now to reply to your comment. Infinity WAS my Reddit app. And really happy to have it again for Lemmy.

  • I started using Infinity today and it seems to be working great for everything that I need it for.

  • I voiced my opinion on one of the sync announcement posts and it was received quite controversially.

We all get stuck in our own camps and become quote tribal and I feel like all around it's difficult to not take what is being said as some kind of attack.

  • That's true. But does not change my opinion or preferences. But the choices I have at the moment I suppose, is remain with the current application I am using (which is adequate and serving me well), try out an ad based application, and choose to pay to get rid of the ads. I am at a point where my choice of remaining where I am is the most appealing.

  • Not interested in something that supports ads or subscriptions. It definitely doesn't fit the ethos or average desires of most lemmy users from what I understand.

The free and open source applications for lemmy are working out for me, so I really have no need for something like this that goes against what I believe lemmy stands for

  • Wow! I can't believe it's been a full 17 years. My friends and I were just singing it a couple weeks ago as we were playing a LOTR board game

  • I agree. Hosting a "Twitter" alternative yourself that you can control. And bringing news to people on other platforms. You need big players on the alternative platforms to make them viable for more people.

  • It is really unfortunate. I really wanted to see him shine today

  • Super bummed for McLaren, especially for Piastri. He had such a good weekend up until the race started.

  • I think in general, people care a bit less about the sprints. Plus, we're still building up the community here on lemmy. Guess we should give it some time

  • Are you talking about here on Lemmy? Or un general?

  • I use my main PC more often, but I still think my Steam Deck is worth it. I use it every once in a while I'm over at my parents' babysitting their dog when they go out. And I'll bring it out when I take public transit. I just enjoy having the option of using it where ever I go.

  • Those last couple of seconds of Q2 were so crazy. Max almost missed out on Q3 entirely

  • Are you suggesting this is not progress? Because this is honestly amazing.

What's the point of water if you can't chill by the water

  • It's a great way to compare driver's moment by moment around a lap. Really understanding why a driver/car is better than another

  • You can use Chrome for those websites if they completely break, and Firefox for everything else.

Banks and government websites don't tend to have adverts.

  • Thank you for doing this!

Infinity was my favorite Reddit app and I'd love to be able to use it for Lemmy

  • No worries, I posted it as soon as I saw it since I was waiting for it too
