  • Im pretty sure we could make AI in games smarter and/or better than humans for a long time. They are just not fun to play against. You need to have AI that you can win against. What i think should be happening instead of neural networks is the ai should gamble a bit more . The good example is eu4 where on hard difficulty ai will not attack you until its sure it can win..... which makes it more predictable than normal ai beacuse you can reasonably guess whetewer it will attack you and try to outmanouver it. Wheras on normal sometimes it will just attack you if there is a reasonable ( or sometimes even unreasonable ) chance to win which makes normal sometimes( very very very very rarely ) harder difficulty. Now hard difficulty is stil generaly ( 99,9% of time ) much harder due to ai cheats but what i said is a thing. Total war Warhammer 3 could use that in particular to spice things up. Currently attacking army will always attack and defending will defend which makes attacking more advantagous , and the army will always wait for reinforcment . They could for example make it so depending on the army composition ( or even just rng ) the defending army will sometimes attack ( for example when there are only melee combatants ) so that you dont have time to deal damage with mage . Or the opposite. Make it so the attacking army will just stay still and protect the artilery and bombard you with canons it it has lots of artilery . Like you know just some basic strategies so the fights arent always so similar at the begining.

  • Samsung Galaxy note 4 or my current asus rog phone 6d. Note 4 was a peak of smartphone design, large screen, exchangable battery, stylus ( mostly for fun, i do like to have phones that have something special in them, but it was quite usefull for playing nonograms , havent actually used it for notes ever ) microsd, jack. Evrything ever needed in a phone was there.

Rog phone 6d on the other hand has suprisingly many features minijack ,TWO usbc ports , actually large storage ( microsd is good but android has a lot of limitations on what you can use it for so its not that usefull and you still need fairly large internal memory unfortunetly ) and most imporantly the back has rgb ( have i mentioned that i like phones that have something special ). Also it comes with a fast charger included ( which shouldnt be special for such an expensive phone but apparently getting single usb cable for charging somehow became a standard practice ). Also a large screen and it looks sick.

  • I expect it to change with the next gen consoles at best ( ps6, xbox whatewer tf ). Beacuse with them we might finally be able to see the games that just straight up abandon traditional rasterization and go full ray tracing only ( also the last strugglers on pc will probably finally abandon gpus without raytracing support by that time, pepole tend to complain on consoles for 'slowing down progress' but dont see the absolutely ancient devices most or to be precise significant minority of gamers use ). For now even with ps5 pro they still need to create ps5 version.

  • Hmm do you perhaps watch some streams or listen to podcast before sleep ( or even during sleep technicaly speaking ) ,beacuse i also dont dream when i do this.

But i on the other hand also dream vwry vividly and intensly when i think about stuff before sleep ( whatewer it is , book idea , aliens, power fantasy about conquest of russia, imagining the layout of pipes around my house ).

  • Im pretty sute manga is not more popular than comics as a whole ( anime bit might be true of we count tv series only ) and even if that's true the reason is very simple. Piracy. Its extremly easy to find manga online . Not so much with comic books.

  • That kinda explains the dissciation gamers and game makers (studio, publisher etc ) have with each other today. And the publishers continuus trying at live service games. I imagine similar thing is happening with consoles. I personaly knew it was a thing with FIFA but i never knew it was so widespread ( fifa and sports game are kinda special or at least i thought they were ). Maybe those pepole bought one game a year additionaly sometimes if it was aired often enough as ad on tv.

That actually explains so much shit we see today , like online subcsriptions on PlayStation and xbox. If the majority ( or large enough minority ) will play one game only making them pay for online is a goddam goldmine. F* i would probably do it if was ceo of PlayStation and actually knew the stats ( and Obviusly if they were favorable ).

  • That would be correct for me. If i know what question to ask i also know how to solve it. And its not good at solving beacuse it requires precision which is something that generative ai inherently dont poses. But its also why i think gen ai will reduce the number of artist very significantly beacuse art just need to be good enough. Or to be precise democrtize art. No longer will you need to have a band of 5 pepole and a smidge talent to make a metal song for yourself. Likewise if you want a sick reasonably specific wallpaper for your screen. Now idea will be good enough for a good enough result.

  • I would say gog is probably closer than epic. Its actually managed to still be a thing despite steam being op as f in every way possible. And the last time i used it it was decently competent launcher compared to epic which was a travesty.

  • It does matter in terms of how much less polluting it would be. Even in case of coal plant bonansa it reaches a point where it becomes less poluting than gasoline car . Alghtough much slower. Its also not realy important since renewables became so cheap that there is practicly no country that dosent have a fairly significant renewable share ( and by that i mean > 10 % ).

  • Pokemon Scooby-Doo Demon king daimao

While the first two are probably fairly generic choices. The last one is the first anime i watched ( i dont count pokemon as anime ) when i was a teeneager ( naturaly it is a crazy schol fantasy harem anime , they were kinda trending at that time and they mostly sucked , similar to iseaki today . This one is probably no exception but i kinda look at it with rose tinted glasses and i havent watched it for a long time . ). Mostly because crunchyroll was an app on ps4 and i installed it and at that time everything was for free after a week. And boy o boy that was a start of journey through a very very deep black hole that im still very deep in.

  • Ok . So first of all while NVIDIA is absoluetly a scumy company but the reason they are able to be this scummy is because they do generaly deliver unreasonable performance improvment ( at an unreasonable price tho ) and this time its unlikely to be any diffrent and 50xx series is expected to be monstrous as far as performance go. So far they didint do the same mistake intel did with cpus.

Second . You cant collapse something that hasnt risen. Virtual reality never gained enough traction for it to collapse. I personaly blame PlayStation for this. If there is anyone that could make a diffrence it would be them .

Third. If that's true thats actually fucked up. Alghtough to be fair openai is very strange company and very closed one for a supposedly openai. Also i dont think going from non profit to for profit comapny changes much since it requires a thing they dont have. Profit.

  • I dont know abut ram but its very unlikely that CPU will be a bottelneck in most games . Its not a high end pc targeting 120 frames per second where cpu matters more. There of course will be exceptions ( space marine 2 apparently might have lower framerates on ps5 due to cpu so its unlikely that ps5 pro will fix this but who knows ).
