I've got the RM Mini 3 which works fine for the heat pump, just slow as it's cloud based. Using smartir plugin, had to learn all commands though as it wasn't in there.

For the TV I have this one, flashed esphome on it so it's local only and no longer cloud based.

Yep I also miss some of the reddits, eg icecreamery, and fitness. Weird thing is, fitness reddit is super popular and there's nothing active here as far as I can tell.

I am Feedly user as well, but use the FeedMe app on Android. I prefer that app over the Feedly one, it's free, and I can add as many categories as I want whereas Feedly limits it to three or so in the free version :)

Yep as right now it's a scenic route, so no focus on speed. I agree, right now it's not a very good alternative to driving. That's the point, that should be improved; it should be faster than driving.

In other words, they want the government to spend a few hundred mill on rolling stock, and still more on other subsidies, on a service that would take nearly twice as long to go between Auckland and Wellington as a bus.

Driving time WLG <=> AKL is about 7.5 hours. Assuming a 15 minute break every 2 hours, that's about 8.5 hours. It's 650km, so that's about 76km/hour on average. I'm sure a train can go as fast / faster than that; definitely not <40km/hour like you suggest.

Yes, indeed, diesel trains emit lower emissions when more than 1/3 full. See also #10 here

And, diesel is not the final solution, but it's a first step. If the protesters would ask for 100% electrified rail it would be shut down as well by opponents that it's too hard. So I think it's a very good option to switch to diesel rail for now.

Interesting. I've got a Redmi Note 10 pro with 6Gb and zero issues with other apps. Also disabled Miui battery saver. Stock ROM, miui.

Got 6GB and never have issues with other apps. Brave and Chrome are fine.

Yeah that works, the problem is when I go to my vault, which switches windows. I've extended the timeout so it happens much less. Thanks for the tip.

Thanks, no haven't set up battery restrictions. Have disabled Miui default battery saver, set to no restrictions, still same issue. It happens only when I go to my vault.

Hi fellow IT contractor, thanks for sharing! That is awesome. Just installed and works like a charm. I was using Chrome profiles for this, but having all in one window is much easier.
