  • Morrowind.

Ages ago I got a new video card that came with bundled games, including the slightly-old Morrowind.

That was the intro for me to deep RPGs, and I fell hard.

A few weeks ago I decided to revisit it, and went with Open-MW and a vanilla experience.

    So awesome.

  • The Martian.

Aside from the macguffin that left Matt Damon stranded, the science was solid. Furthermore, the casual dysfunctionality and administrative infighting of the governments and agencies was brilliantly on point.

  • If we're talking about a bar/restaurant, then the amount of alcohol in a drink is regulated and consistent.

That said, if the total volume of ice and water is consistent, then 10ml of the liquid portion of a drink on the rocks will have more alcohol than 10ml of the liquid/ice mixture in a blended margarita, at least until the ice cubes melt.

Far more importantly, a margarita on the rocks is a superior drink. :-)

  • In a nutshell...

They're not here for your benefit, they're here for their own profit.

If they could make money with flashing lights they would, even if they had to deal with lawsuits from people who had seizures from it.

They don't cate what you like. They don't care what you want. You are nothing more than a commodity they can sell.

  • Fair question.

He's a 'close personal friend' of Trump. He showed up at the inauguration, and has repeatedly stated his support for Trump, wearing MAGA hats.

When asked to be the Canadian team's honourary captain at the 4 nations cup, he came onto the ice from the US bench, threw a bunch of thumbs up to team USA, and then did a simple skate past our bench. He wore a suit and tie, with no hint of red and white.

He hasn't picked up his order of Canada award yet.

Basically, he is avoiding every opportunity to show he has some love left for Canada, and to denounce extremism.

  • Rule #1: companies have no ethics. Ever.

The only way Amazon will change is if it costs them more than it makes them.

The answer is to boycott them. Cancel your Prime subscription. Find other retailers, or do without. And do NOT go back as soon as they capitulate.

Companies need to understand that shitty behaviour will lose them customers for life.

  • Problematic? Absolutely. He's a solid Progressive Conservative, in the mold of Joe Clark and Robert Stanfield. He's a banker, and sees continual financial growth as essential to society.

But he also knows that the way forward for our nation is to diversify our trading partners, so we can cut off the ones that don't help us.
