Alberta (i.e. the provincial government) isn't struggling to keep them, it's actively discouraging them from staying. They're getting underpaid, public schools are underfunded and overcrowded, the curriculum is being rewritten by racists to promote a Eurocentric perspective (along with "don't bother with university," and "O&G are our friends!"), and generally making things as horrible as they can.
They are deliberately, methodically, maliciously driving good teachers away from the province and undermining public education, in order to force the adoption of charter and private schools.
It is 'nearly impossible to escape' FOR ANYONE, not just US citizens. By design.
You can be in the US legitimately without being a citizen.
ANY AND EVERY detainment by ICE is wrongful.
You are not legally required to provide ID to authorities. In some states you can be compelled to provide your full name and possibly your address, ONLY if there is reasonable suspicion against you.
I had a cousin who probably could have been diagnosed as a psychopath. He had no sense of right or wrong, of good or bad. The only think that registered with him was who he could manipulate, and whether he could get away with it.
It was interesting to see. At a family funeral, he started goading his brother, talking about how much time he had to golf (in jail, no less) while the brother had to work all the time. He thrived on being an irritant to get his own way.
I have very very little respect for people who cheat in a marriage instead of getting out; but it is clearly not your mom's choice to make.
If you're closer to your dad, then stay with him. Explain to your mom that you're not trying to attack her, but choosing your own well-being first (as you should).
I've thought a lot about this over the last few years, and have decided there's one critical distinction: Understanding.
When we combine knowledge to come to a conclusion, we understand (or even misunderstand) that knowledge we're using. We understand the meaning of our conclusion.
LLMs don't understand. They programmatically and statistically combine data - not knowledge - to come up with a likely outcome. They are non-deterministic auto-complete bots, and that is ALL they are. There is no intelligence, and the current LLM framework will never lead to actual intelligence.
They're parlour tricks at this point, nothing more.
Watching it after the fact is never the same. Sports and elections (bloodsports?) are the two things I want to actually watch live.
Also, in the US you can subscribe to NBC Sports+ or whatever it is for $5/month and watch it. If we had an option like that in Canada, I'd jump at it.
But Flosports charges over three times that price, only does annual subscriptions, provides awful (unwatchable, often literally because their servers crash) coverage, and behaves in the most reprehensible, illegal way possible.
Honestly, cycling fans in Canada are giving up. I might do so as well.
You keep demanding an answer to your question, so I will give you one.
I am not aware of any instances that allow or encourage discussions based on a position of bigotry and intolerance.
To be clear, you present your question in bad faith, and demand good-faith responses only. You claim that calling bigotry is censorship, and that intolerance is a valid stance in a discussion. You also repeatedly refuse to acknowledge that we are in fact having the discussion right here about your opinions on transgender issues.
EDIT: In fact, you are actively refusing to engage in the discussion you claim to be impossible. Pretty clear now that you're just a troll - an oblivious troll.
CBC is a pretty reliable go-to although they're more than a bit pandering these days. BBC is similar. Al Jazeera is pretty reliable for things not related to Islam and Palestine in particular (although they're not as biased as they could be). AP is fairly neutral. Aside from that, it's non-legacy Canadian sources like the Walrus and the Tyee, which all have their problems but are good at exposing reality.
You want evidence of the historical Jesus, that article contains almost 300 references and about 40 external sources.
The existence of Jesus of Nazareth is widely accepted. If you believe otherwise, you need to provide extraordinary evidence for your extraordinary claims.
No, they're not really.

There is no struggle, only harm.
