Depends what you mean by "it worked". Of course the kids play too much games and watch too much YouTube. But at least I have kids that are happy and I really have fun with.

It's also easier to tell them what I want when I really need them to do something. What I want to avoid is to have kids that don't have respect towards their parents.

I guess it's also my attitude. I really like to come back from work and have fun with my kids and see them happy. I know many parents who rather try to get their kids to sleep as soon as possible to have time for themselves.

I decided to go in the other direction. My two boys got their phones at 7 and 8. I put parental controls on it and never allowed them install apps. Most annoying is the extensive use of Youtube so far, but on the other hand both of them are speaking English and have good grades. The usage is limited to 2 hours a day. And at 9pm the phone locks itself.

However, I talked to them about social media and blocked Whatsapp, Instagram etc. I still need to talk more to them of course, because it's a risk for adults, too. They are individuals and I respect that they need to have fun after school. And I want them not to be "cool" online, but generally be happy with their lifes.

People who are educated in maths know about the law of the excluded middle and intuitionistic logic.

And btw: "I am not a nazi" and "I am against nazis" are two different kinds of statements.

Logseq is great. It's still in early development. Only sync is not so great. I use Git and wrote two scripts (pull/push) for Android which I start manually. The desktop application is very powerful and extensible. The app only supports the most common features without any plugin support.

It's also pretty great if you're able to code.

I hope it gets reversed in the next instance. The judge had it absolutely wrong. And the consultant did not expose it, but told the company directly that he is able to read the admin password without an effort. They sued for telling them. That's absolutely the worst thing to do.

No one uses millihertz and neither meterhertz. If you want to do it correctly the first one would be acceptable for milli as scale. The second one would need to be written as m • Hz.

The point is that if you cannot make money in Germany, you're dumb. It's not about gas or energy. It's cheap as it was earlier but they're much more taxes.

The problem is the laziness of the industry and service sector. They haven't been making progress but stagnated for decades hoping to just make money from status quo. Now they blame everyone but themselves just to distract from their mismanagement.

But the reality is, when you don't make money, someone else will do.

Except it is a threat to democracy to discredit certain groups or taking away rights from them based on their living circumstances. To be able to do this, you'd need to abolish large portions of the constitution. And this, by definition, is anti democratic.

I've been updating Nextcloud in-place (manually) for multiple major versions without any flaws. What is the problem?
