  • Where in the first amendment does it guarantee funding for state media?

NPR folks can’t seem to make up their minds. Does it need the government funding or not? Because every time this comes up, the NPR defenders diminish the impact by saying only a small fraction of funding comes from the government, but now it’s somehow a showstopper if the funding stops?

The corporation for public broadcasting has been manufacturing consent for made up wars since their inception. I’ve heard them read CIA press releases verbatim on-air without even minimal pushback. And their corporatization for the past few decades has only exasperated the problems, while cutting out any content of value. Fuck’em.

  • He's trying to keep the money and weapons flowing in. He’s also used the ongoing proxy war to justify not holding elections, and people remain pissed at him for pretending to be a peace candidate to get elected. Just like Netanyahu, he knows ongoing conflict is his best hope to hold onto his position.

  • Ending political alliances with the US, while allowing the same Wall Street profiteers to continue pilfering Canadian institutions, really shows a total ignorance of why things are so bad in US politics. Like a puppeteer play acting an argument between his left and right hands.

Nice symbolic move, but you still need to drive out the corporatists destroying your housing and healthcare. Plus this article is manufacturing consent for war profiteers who want to keep up the proxy war enriching Canadian weapons manufacturers, so it rings pretty hollow.
