I'm not surprised that it continues to function with the entire adult population working 36h a week.
The fact that it isn't way below 20h is a scandal in my opinion.
Cause every work hour achieves so much more productivity now than what it did in the 50s.
But all that productivity benefits the owners, not the workers.
In an alternate universe, phones with a fold-out hardware keyboard and full Linux OS are common.
And you can just plug them into a docking station to get a full PC.
I've bought a phone following this theory.
After 3 years, the USB port wore out and didn't charge anymore. And after 4, the phone got concerningly hot during wireless charging.
So yeah, the battery lasts longer, but phones aren't designed for a long life in general.
The fact that we don’t have news stories spreading around about concentration camps in the desert by now actually shocks me.
Those camps exist. ICE disappears people on the streets and puts them in those camps.
Tourists from western countries, with valid visas and white skin were put in those camps.
They haven't gone the next step from "detainment" (=concentration) camps to death camps.
But it took the OG Nazis 9 years to go that step, too. After they did the math and realized that "evicting" millions of people isn't possible.
Make no mistake, the current US regime won't have any moral qualms about going that step, too.

Heads up: With the current camps, you're in the year 1933.
If you read about "criminal aliens" in "ICE detainment camps" doing labor for public works, that's the next step. That's the year 1940.

Proper dwarf bread has to be not just baked, but forged and dropped in rivers and dried out, and sat on and left, and looked at every day and then put away again. For preference, its use as a cat's litter box is also recommended.
