  • There are some things that influence the actual time off:

    • I am bonused on my hours billed, so if I'm off more that 6 weeks in a 6 month period, I won't get my bonus.
    • I work from home, so I don't take as many days off for being sick because I'm not worried about spreading germs.
    • I don't like to make out of office plans, so I take PTO between contracts. If I have a lot of work going on, I take less time off.
  • Totally. But it is like gifting someone a lightly used Cadillac. Which is weird.

  • Didn't Boeing stop making these a few years ago? Like, are Qatar gifting trump a used plane?

  • I'm extatic to report that my highschool German is finally being used.

  • I live in suburbia and the cannabis stores cater, in part, to suburban moms. They are clean, well lit, and the staff are very approachable. It's fascinating to see.

  • Agreed. Although there are many pros, I like the tax revenue. Washington brings in ~$500m, much of which funds health programs here.

  • It is terrible if anyone is jailed without due process - even if they voted for this asshat of an administration.

  • I dug a giant hole in my back yard and called it a bear trap. Parents were not impressed.

  • I used to live in a kinda poor area. Lots of people on some sort of program. And that program had really restrictive rules about what you can and cannot buy. For example, you could buy Skippy peanut butter but not Skippy light peanut butter (whatever that is). It caused great confusion for the people who needed food, huge amounts of labor for the poor grocery person, and a long wait for the other shoppers in line - just so the government can save a few cents. Unbelievable.

  • Excellent! I'm looking for a new job. 😉
