  • If instead of clicking all the links you had read the article, it's explained:

The Associated Press reported that the school district spent $199,000 to hire the AlphaRoute engineering firm to create a plan that would cut the number of bus routes and stops. According to The Louisville Courier-Journal, the school district changed its bus schedule and start times this year in an attempt to cope with a bus driver shortage.

They were short on bus drivers, and they hired a firm to come up with a plan that would "make it work". Specifics of the routes aren't given, but I'd imagine that they were completely ridiculous for any kids to have still been on buses six or seven hours after school got out.

  • I see a proud dragon guarding its hoard

  • The article is fewer than 2,200 words and is definitely worth the 10 minutes of your time to read in full.

  • That's the one! Thank you for posting it, I replied in a hurry and couldn't link it myself.

  • 5% on stock chrome for Android. Guess this week is the week I switch to firefox mobile (73% with stock uBlock Origin)

  • Could you elaborate, please?

The only other response of yours in the thread is that it's not available in Canada, which doesn't seem to contradict any of the claims in the thread title?

  • Ok, now look for the unplugged piano version of that song and prepare to be even more impressed!

  • Amber Bain of The Japanese House has a really nice voice.

There's also Caroline Polachek, who I am pretty sure actually has perfect pitch. She is one of the most technically impressive vocalists of her generation IMO.

  • One of the more interesting things I took away from Reddit was that there is a fairly noticeable threshold of community size above which the quality of participation abruptly drops. I think there's a conversation worth having about what barriers to entry are desirable or not.

  • No post is visible, because reddit only shows your most recent thousand comments by each filter method, or something like that. Very old posts of yours probably still exist.

Requesting your data from reddit is one way you can get a full listing to plug into other tools.

  • Boofing them is even more dangerous than drinking them!! /j

  • Bold of you to assume that fact checking is even in the repertoire of the chud brained

  • UNDERTALE goes without saying, but I'll say it anyway.

  • The elderly aren't the age group where the evolution of language primarily happens.

  • Many years ago when I was using it heavily, it was extremely good. If I had to estimate, 80 or 90 percent of the time I got the exact word I desired when swiping. Very low rate of having to make corrections.

I don't know when exactly it changed. I think I may have upgraded to a newer phone and despite migrating the data successfully it just didn't "recognize me" anymore. Tried a couple keyboards before settling on Gboard, which was the most consistent (read: least frustrating) at that time, but still noticeably less accurate than Swiftkey.

I generally have automatic updates disabled, so it's entirely possible that a newer version on the old phone would've been bad too, but I don't think I thought of that at the time.

  • I miss the days of Swiftkey and Swype. They abruptly got worse at some point before Gboard happened, and I still don't understand why

  • That is the closest thing to a guilty expression you'll ever see on a cat's face. Adorable.
