  • The only way to be sure is to buy it from an outdoor store directly, or go to an actual bookstore (if you still have any nearby)

  • The truthful part seems to matter a hell of a lot more than the others. But like the first one, this should go without saying.

The third one... well no part of the internet is necessary to start with. Especially social media. We got along fine (maybe much better in many cases?) without internet.

  • So long as I can disable it, thats all I care about. If people want to use it, go for it. But I dont want my personal desktop use to train an AI, or have it butt in like Cortana.

I get how it could be useful in certain settings but I feel like its offering help for a problem that doesnt exist most of the time. Like, do most people need generative AI to complete everyday desktop tasks?

Also this sounds like a potential privacy nightmare, even for Microsoft.

  • May I stress that Canadians are a terrible testing ground. We are a beaten down nation of gougees, Americans and elsewhere might not be so placid about this. (Did American netflix already crack down on password sharing?)

  • So to fight back against the elites who divide Americans hes going to be a spoiler to get the ultimate divisive elite guy elected. Okay, sure.

Hes going to use his run to not only be a spoiler but further spread anti-vaxx conspiracy bullshit through the mainstream media. I want to say spouting dangerous bullshit should be a disqualifier but then again look at the entire republican party.

  • It must not be included in their requirements... which means its not a very useful list

  • Also Welcome Home. First thing that came to my head when I saw this thread haha

  • This is based on old data, I believe. Maybe ten or twenty years ago sure. But now it is only feasible to move here if you earn 300,000+ a year, whee!

  • Lol

However, 45 days in a row of rain can do a number on your state of mind, though. (I used to live in Vancouver.)

  • Yeah but the only downside is you have to live in Alberta, though.

(I am kidding... Calgary is a nice city, but the current ruling party are extreme Canadian magas so also not kidding.)

  • Maybe its just me but I'd be way more likely to buy a game if I knew it was made by well treated workers.

  • Thank you for pointing this out. I also thought at first it might have been some kind of dumb marketing stunt.
