  • This is all true, but that shouldnt discourage people from voting this time around.

  • I know what they mean but there arent as many fence sitters in this American election anyway.

I can see this being a bigger problem in other democracies, however, where people are still swayed by facts

  • "The key to these great sale numbers for our console exclusive game is that its only available on our console"

  • If you are into horror there are some excellent titles for ps2

Silent Hill 2, Siren, Fatal Frame, Kuon

(though theyve become a lot more popular and collectible recently)

  • Nintendo are about the only big publisher I would spend money on nowadays outside of indies. The enshittification is ramping up too much everywhere else.

  • I have a soft spot for cassettes, they were my main musical ... thing growing up well into high school. I cant remember the last time I actually listened to any of my old tapes but I keep them around to look at. Ive also got a cd collection, much smaller since I went basically right from tapes to downloading. These days i stream most music but I still purchase digital copies of albums (directly if I can to support the artists) and listen to mp3 on my desktop regularly

  • Commodifying everything in nature is definitely a good idea and couldnt possibly backfire.

  • So are they going to end up with mostly empty shelves Desantis style?

  • Even without organizing, just encouraging voters to turn up can have a big effect on elections.

With a FPTP system, Conservatives typically do better when voter numbers are low.

  • I left it to soak after making bacon. It became a greasy rusty mess... (of course now I could have saved it) but at the time i tried steel wool and gave up. The experience has led me to buy enamel coated iron instead

  • I regularly get them from family, its annoying for this reason. But its better just use the remainders as a few bucks off a regular purchase (that id make anyway).

  • i wonder how they reached this conclusion.

There are many many studies proving internet and social media addiction can cause depression, and internet addiction is extremely widespread especially in teenagers. Also declining mental health and depression are so widespread in young people... this study seems strange.

  • Relax everybody! They solved the ethics problem on their own!! Phew, democracy saved.

  • Well youre right, there are ways to see stuff on the cheap. In Canada we have some cheaper theatres, and cheap tuesday. But matinees arent a thing here anymore.

Also because of my job and family I can rarely go til the weekend. And its always me and my kids... its always fun but it ends up being very very expensive.

Better to just wait and watch it at home. Im sure its the same for a lot of people.

  • "Pro" suggests power users, but 8 GB is what you'd find in a low end word processing desktop for office use, or even a kid's chromebook. This is crazy, they are REALLY pushing their luck with this.

I would say maybe if there's enough pushback they'll offer a better option, but I doubt it.
