Humpback sex photographed for first time – and both whales were male

  • On the plus side, according to the AP article I read on this, the Little League that had the statue built got so much money in donations they’ll be able to replace it, and have a lot left over to improve facilities and services.

  • I really want to do a durge run, but haven’t yet because I want to play BG1 first so it’ll hit more.

  • This really is one of those games that’s worth it at full price. Save waiting on a sale for the half-finished games that shouldn’t be priced as high as they are.

  • …How do you accidentally put a baby in an oven?! JFC, this is awful.

  • IIRC, though, that wasn’t Sony’s decision - WB yanked the licenses because they wanted those shows to only be on their streaming platform.

So it’s just irony that Sony is doing the same thing now.

  • You know what say: if buying isn’t owning then pirating isn’t stealing.

  • The previous article about the story that this one links to says the doctor not only lied, they also tried to cover it up by wrapping the baby up so tightly the parents couldn’t tell its head wasn’t attacked, and saying they couldn’t get the free autopsy they were eligible for and that they should cremate the body. Wtf.

  • But it wasn’t internal. It was a full decapitation. NOW, when you’re wrong and it’s not “clickbait,” you “couldn’t give a shit.”

  • Black people were forcibly brought over as slaves, remember? We didn’t steal the land; we were stolen ourselves and forcibly brought here. And we can’t exactly “go back” to where we came from because we don’t know where exactly “back” IS.

  • I knew I had read somewhere before that the baby was physically decapitated; thank you for the link.

  • They’re Black, and Black folks didn’t exactly have much choice in the matter of coming to America.

  • I’ve yet to see a single PS person excited about getting Starfield. At most, they’re like, “Oh, that’s nice,” and go back to doing other things.

  • Yes, but if they definitely say she was but the school can somehow prove she wasn’t, they can be sued. That’s why even with photo and video evidence, articles will say “alleged” or “person says,” because it hasn’t been legally proven yet. It’s protection from potential lawsuits and legal liability, not bad writing.

  • It was literally in the article that the teacher was using it for teaching rhetoric.

Maybe try reading the article first before popping off next time?

  • Science books don’t tend to employ rhetorical devices, something that IS taught in English classes and what this book is being used for.

If a science book were ever to be an excellent example of rhetoric? Yes, it should be used in an English class.

  • It won the National Book Award and Toni Morrison praised it. The Guardian ranked it 7th on their list of the 100 best books of the 21st century. So uh…
