It is, sorry. It was a Reaction to the downvotes. But at this point I'm a bit allergic to the "it's the same as every other invention" argument. It's not, precisely for this reason. It's a bit like "climate is always changing" - yes, but not within decades or centuries. These details are crucial.

That looks like something that could be done on client as well, doesn't it? I don't know if posts have UUIDs or something but maybe it can be done.

I think this could be "solved" on client side. On Reddit you could (can? Idk) merge various subs to a single view, maybe clients like Memmy could do the same.

So it's just an indicator that the "hide read posts" feature is enabled? It's incredibly annoying, needs a toggle to disable. Off to Github.

How does that work? IF (VPN detected) THEN (fail)? Do apps even have access to that information?

Or maybe they have mandatory geolocation, compare that with IP location and if it doesn't match (=VPN), then refuse to work?
