Except we don't, and that's a resolution backed by the Supreme Court. There is no expectation of privacy in public.

If they're being stalked or harassed that's a different story. Committing those crimes would get you kicked out of a public building or land you a Restraining Order. Either way, this is a poor excuse.

This ban is on the sale of menthol infused cigarettes. It wouldn't criminalize smoking menthols and there's plenty of other ways to infuse cigarettes with menthol or buy a synthetic alternative.

If your point is at all that this prohibition would in any way, shape, or form help fulfill that goal, that is incorrect.

It's not the average Joe's responsibility to have to fight for a system of equality, or their responsibility to know a correct solution. The US Government needs to be held accountable for the insane wealth inequality they've allowed under their watch. That's what they're paid to do.

Start choosing your words more carefully and it wouldn't be an issue. Your original comment says nothing about streaming and your follow up comment doesn't clarify anything:

blu-rays are often as cheap or cheaper than "digital copies", and ripping them to my NAS is pretty trivial these days thanks to makemkv. the best part is, uncle jeff cannot legally break into your house and take back the disc just because of some petty rights issue.

4k streaming is also way lower quality than a 4k blu-ray

I know how a NAS works, but other people might not or possibly even mistake you to mean you transfer media to another machine for viewing. Additionally, I didn't have any evidence to speculate that you knew there was a tangential reason for the quality disparity despite your comment being easily misconstrued.

Doubling down on the misinformation, I see. H.265 is a high-efficiency codec, or in other words a better compression standard. Not a static compression level. This is why when you convert media there's an input for quality, even when using HEVC. And you can absolutely stream the same Dolby Vision profile as a Blu-ray with single track double layer.

That is misinformation. The quality disparity you're both pointing out is from streaming services compressing their media to much lower bitrates to ease bandwidth stress on their servers/clients and has nothing to do with a physical or digital medium.

Yes! Bazarr is specifically made to make this task completely automated. Other people have mentioned Radarr and Sonarr, there's also prowlarr/jackett for adding uploaders to grab from. I'm using this setup, along with overseerr to handle grab requests, and as soon as I click a button to request media it usually shows up in 10-20 minutes on the server with subtitles. I completely agree. This is not even a subject that I'm particularly educated on and I'm still waiting for a single substantiated defeator for my opinions on the topic to change my mind.
