  • The actual problem here is that it's not clear when he will be near a gun to the point that someone could do that. You only have a minute. Is Trump within a minute's range of a gun and would not be stopped by his security detail if he tried to use it?

  • Agreed in part. We should absolutely continue to support Ukraine in any/all ways possible against Russia. However Russia doesn't have the economy to really do much to the rest of Europe. Rubles are going to be worth more as toilet paper than money in the next few years.

  • I have no religion. I guess I'm an apatheist. Not sure if I can be considered practicing or not.

Edit: I believe the existence of God/Gods is irrelevant.

  • I would die pretty quickly, so I'd do as much good as I could in the time I had. Mostly tons of wealth transfer.

  • In some states they simply reuse the picture they have on file when you get a replacement card. Depends on how old the picture is.

  • Was just gonna say. I'm old enough to remember when it was the Slashdot effect. And you put links to the Coral Cache of the website as a nice way to guard against slashdotting.

  • A mattress. You spend about a third of your life on one.

  • Yep. You play by the rules on the ground. Gerrymandering shouldn't be a thing, but as long as it is, the Democrats should use it to their advantage.

  • Why is this? Do these people literally go to the ballot box just to vote trump and leave?

This was found to actually be a somewhat common voting pattern.

  • The Borg came about when I was very young, so they were incredibly scary to me.

I recall the Tholians from a Game Boy game I had, but they were no big deal. It was when they were featured on Enterprise that they became scary to me. They're so different and we don't know a whole lot about them (I haven't seen any Trek after Enterprise, no spoilers please). That's what makes them scary to me.

  • The Tholians are the scariest alien race in the series.

  • Well I still have to go to work tomorrow, so I guess make sure my alarm is set.

  • This is true. No one has tried, and it hasn't been adjudicated. However everyone treats pardons as needing to be backwards-looking.

  • but doesn’t protect him from anything he may go on to do

The only limitation on the pardon power is that it must be for things that have already happened. It is not possible to pardon someone for things they might do in the future.

  • I would not. People should not do things that are morally wrong, regardless of whether they will be punished for it or not.

  • I've heard that Debbie is the best thing to do in Dallas.

  • Of course. But they need to ask. The FBI or local police doesn't get a daily report of our whereabouts every day.

  • I assume they roll the dice because it's rather hard to get by without a phone.

Also, it's not like the government is actively tracking everyone's location. I'm sure if they wanted to track me they could, but it's not like my position is being actively logged right now.
