  • Is there maybe a generational gap? I am older and I very, very rarely watch videos. Maybe when I am totally stuck in a game will I watch a walkthrough. But just watching other people play is something my kids and their friends do. I think games just caught up to sports, where most fans spend more time watching than playing as well.

  • No shit. Way back when, we traded VHS tapes of fan-subbed anime across continents. I subbed two episodes of a show someone brought from Japan on laserdisc for a convention. This was the only way to watch anime back then. As fun as it was, nobody in their right mind wants to go back to all that hassle, so just provide legal options. If you build it, they will come.

  • Yes, but they need to be quits strong. I managed to get a forgotten tag off of stuff I bought with magnets I had from old hard drives, but it wasn't as easy as in the store. I think they're using electromagnets.
