I live in the hottest part of Germany. In the north, AC honestly isn't that necessary and we managed really well by just keeping the blinds closed, but down here it's impossible.
It's like that here in Germany too. They have a legal lower temperature limit, but otherwise it's just "if it's hot you have to give your employees water."
My dad is in his eighties. You know what he does for most of the day? He visits elderly people in the countryside who can no longer drive and are stuck at home.
Skip Germany. They've just banned wearing the LGBTQ+ flag in parliament claiming it's "not neutral". Even though, yanno, banning the damn thing definitely isn't neutral.
I also have LC. I can have a shower. But I take at least an hour to gear up for it. Then I can only do it sitting doen, then I take an hour to find the energy to dry myself off, then I take an hour to gain the energy to get dressed, etc. Tl;dr it takes all morning and I can't have a shower every day.
I took a shower at 11 am and I'm still exhausted at 5 pm (the summer heat doesn't help).
They're attracted to electric light, which kills them. They're not attracted to gaslight, which is one of the reasons people are protesting the replacement of gas lighting in Berlin.
