My calendar notification yells "BINGLYBINGLYBINGLYBLEEP" and my ringtone is Reynolds and Farrell singing Grace Kelly. Text notification is the old HTC one. I've noticed I'm not the only one who still uses that one.

I know two very happy people who are very aware of the state of the world and also actively involved in decreasing world suck, but they're managing to separate their own own life and the state of the world pretty well.

Cats get very lonely and I feel so sorry for the ones that just get left alone with an automatic feeder for days when the human bean buggers off somewhere.

My cat got got lonely without his humans. He'd yell when he thought we weren't there. We got him because he terrorised the pets in his old home, so he obviously didn't like other cats (or dogs).

I lived in the NW of England until recently. Pesticides have killed the bugs and it very rarely gets hot. Last year it rained throughout the summer and didn't really get any warmer than 15C.

Also, houses with thick stone walls keep out the heat. Years ago we had a long heatwave and it got no warmer than 20C inside.
