  • There's a dedicated 10th circle in hell for this people. As someone who runs a root-on-tmpfs system, PLEASE document which dirs your application is using.

It is a total pain, specially with non standar ones.

But tbf there are a lot of Linux devs who neither have read a single line of any Linux standard API.

XDG_DIR, Portals, Secrets, D-Bus, the Desktop file spec, Appstream… are there for you to read. 🥰

  • I'm currently on "modified release" methylphenidate, it goes harder first and then declines. (More or less, I can't recall the actual curve).

I do not consume any caffeine tho. Currently tweaking the dosage and hoping my body adapts…

  • Having a good --help command does wonders.

There are man pages which do avoid me opening a web browser, the systemd ones are pretty good for example.

I just installed tldr to test it out tho.

  • Yep, all good here.

I have a follow-up meeting with my doc next Monday to check how has been the medication going. I noted everything donw in order to make sure I bring it up.

Thanks for answering, the comments helped then.

  • That's both a really cool and useful thing to have. I don't know if such service exists in my country tho. I just have the emergency number on my phone.

In the end it was all good and uneventful but thanks for the comment anyway. :)

  • Meme.

  • I don't mean it in a parasocial relationship way or anything. I just like the vibe here and think the admin is cool.

Also, the more decentralised the network is the better for everyone involved.

  • I had done a lot of, mostly, well informed research on what I'm taking and I should have known better than to panicking…

It ended up serving as an experiment tho, I'm gathering data for a follow-up meeting with my doctor about how the medication is working.

It alm turned to be okey but thanks for the comment anyway. :)
