i just meant you could quickly open and close the main steam valve every 30-60s to judge how angry it is. sure, using the safety valve as your only indicator may work, until it doesn’t, with potentially dire consequences.
weirdly the image says guava/pineapple/wet process but my bag calls out “kindeng stn.” / dry process / natural. bit confusing to me there for coffee of the same major label.
i bet you can kinda just get into a groove with it as long as you follow a process, pay attention, and don’t leave it unattended, but make no mistake: that thing is literally a bomb, so the more info you have on its operating state the better, probably.
i had a lot of problems with my t7 and went through an absolutely excruciating return process. the bad service now makes me think twice about buying samsung products in general, but i had zero issues and was very happy with my samsung memory products before the t7.
i would get great read/write performance, but i think it had some bad blocks or whatever (confirmed but not apparently correctable with samsung magician) that id run into; when that would happen the drive would get a red blinkenlight, my pc would freak out, refuse to dismount the drive, unplugging/replugging was of no use, and the only temporary remedy involved a full reboot.
my experience is that i get the best dial-in from coarse to fine. so if the coffee tastes btter/astringent i’d recommend taking big jumps coarser to get yourself back on track, then small steps finer to dial in. in my experience astringency can come from both grinding overall too fine, or just generally the presence of fines (regardless of grind size), which you get more of with harder coffee beans, etc.
Not sure there is a truly common package. Each manufacturer seems to be doing their own thing (unless they’re a small fry directly buying parts from some other manufacturer already doing their own thing). So I guess a common package might be “whatever’s in a Tesla”, but that’s not a very satisfying answer. And those are often just arrays of 18650s internally.
When I’ve mulled over this question, placement of the batteries is usually the sticking point. Electric cars are designed to put the heavy batteries in a relatively advantageous spot for handling.
