this was the dealbreaker for me. the demand for specific file and directory naming schemes with no default indexer seems deranged.

Upper burr carrier looks good to me.

the immersion phase is samey but the slurry is sitting on top of a filter so when you open the switch it gets filtered by gravity pulling the coffee through the paper. contrast with french press (no paper) and aeropress (coffee forced with pressure through the paper)

right you will need a grinder that has a fine range of adjustment in grind size around the limit of what you are using now
