  • The eco system is frustrating, as soon as i see "plasma" or "k" as the first letter of a package name I can be sure that it'll have 20 other packages as dependencies, about half of the 20 are full featured gui applications

  • Damn that sucks, sorry your not a legacy user anymore.

  • Depends on the person, I didn't get on well with many distros, I like tinkering, arch afforded me that.

Some people are happy jumping in the deepend and having converter distros may alienate some new users.

  • Not sure to be honest, my experience with MX and Debian are limited, I like how MX looks, had no issues using in in the small amount of time I had used MX linux and I'm a sucker for good theming

  • Lol plot twist

But really its crazy how many sting operations take place where I live and for real mediocre shit, like police undercover selling weed.

  • You sound like you'd be pretty capable, I personally use arch, less perceived limitations. Endeavour is the better choice between endeavour and manjaro.

MX if you just want a os with beautiful theming.

    Either way good luck.

  • In the UK back in the earish DVD days I remember this dud would turn up at my uncles work and sell a fuck a ton of discs, he got arrested in a sting.

police have way too much free time

A pub owner near me also got arrested due to a sting where she was buying "stolen" meat from a police officer

  • I ran into issues with rocm support it does suck,
Zluda looked promising but reading news it would seem nvidia is actively trying to ban it

  • A lot of misinformation for ltsc, people thinking its only for kiosks and cant be used as a daily.

Given the choice for sketchy script messing with registry or sketchy key I'm going sketchy key, at least I know windows iso is legitimate, crazy so few know of ltsc and choose the latter.

  • Have you tried changing display mode from windowed to full screen and vice versa, turning off vsync, if your running the game through steam then verifying game files may also work, if not through steam then downloading fresh a copy..

I had an awful time with computer issues last month, all guis using electron were unreadable, some kind of render issue, I did some trouble shooting and found one of the BIOS chips on my GPU had gone bad and basically spent the next few days trying to repair a GPU, the GPU wasn't the issue just bad timing. On a whim I span up a live disc of arch installed similar packages of my main os and found the issue was gone. Wayland was currpt

Anyway if possible and above options dont resolve your issue maybe spinning up an a live os and running stalker could render different or same results.

It would be good to attach another mouse and see if there's an issue with your mouse

  • Are you trying to start a war? Hopefully no one mentions wayland vs xorg else it might go nuclear

  • Have you ever tried pirating these letter

  • Honestly its hard to read through the comments where one person is explaining how they'd pay for x but not z for whatever reason.

  • Lol too true

  • I didn't pick anything, there has and will always be shitty writing. But that doesn't mean I'm okay with it, especially when race, gender, sexuality are used as a vehicle to profit whilst adding little to no substance.

The issue is obvious where we can't risk having a weak diverse character as it could harm esp rating and in turn profits, so we have a diverse characters that are strong and aren't relatable.

Look at game like Hellblade Senuas Sacrifice, it wasn't made to appease the esg system, yet its opened people up to mental health, gender, power struggles. Hands down its amazing story telling.

Not a game but the documentary about Jeffrey Dahmer that was recently aired on netflix was also eye open, then there the old but gold Rosemary's Baby again great story telling.

  • Esg has opened the flood gates for poor writing, we are used to the hero tale where someone comes from a normal to difficult background, theyre thrown into a situation they cant handle and so they must become strong, they in the end do become strong and that is the character ark.

Investment check boxing has made a scene where character arks are avoided, a black woman can't be viewed as week as the company's esg score will go down so now there is media depicting only strong character which is highly unrelatable.

I am all for inclusivity but it need to be done right and not for an investment rating, its akin to rainbow flag banners on socials whilst funding a racists campaign.
