So that's 4 examples of the IDF and 8 of the Palestinian militants. The numbers are not a scorecard though. These are just children and just the ones they had evidence of. Must happen a lot more, especially if you count adult shields.

I expect better from IDF since they represent a democratic government and so we should be hearing of the rogue soldiers being disciplined (jailed even). We rarely hear that.

There are also claims of IDF sending civilians ahead of a raid in potentially booby trapped buildings.

But why waste our time on hearsay? It is hard enough examining all the documented evidence from each side.

In feel like there just aren't enough of us trying to get at the truth. It is more like a game of football from the comfort of our Western homes where we encourage our team to keep going regardless of losses (on the ProPal side the encouragement for Hamas to not surrender is especially buzaare).

The money supply is fixed. Government prints money but not to cover new jobs. It is all about transfer of wealth.

Going by this very targeted attack video, I find those numbers difficult to believe.

There just isn't much explosive you can secretly pack into a pager. The strategy relied on body proximity.

The pager attack was pretty targeted. Very low percentage of civilians killed (unlike the percentages of Hezbollah attacks on Israel).

I can't help but wonder if some thought it couldn't get worse for them personally so they wanted to see the whole system crash and burn.

It is a zero sum game. The rich are addicted to power over others despite data showing that even they would be happier in a more equitable society (see TED talk by Richard Wilkinson called "Spirit Level").

Dems laugh at his meandering speech but the MAGA's appreciate he is not scripted and one actually can understand what he is on about. It looks demented on paper but it is actually how a lot of people speak. You don't need to complete your sentence if you have got the message across . MAGA think we are stupid for getting confused with our comprehension.

In the GOP primaries he mocked his competitors on stage saying that he has given many donations to politicians and the favours will be returned, even the ones on stage with him. MAGA loved the openness of the corruption.

PS Nobody says "saw throat", I just made that up. Or maybe everyone says it but they all write it as "sore throat" just to fuck with me.

In accidents (like shaving) a razor does not hurt as it cuts because it is such a sharp straight edge. The first thing we notice is the blood not the pain. It hurts afterwards (like any other cut does). A saw hurts as it cuts because of the serated edge. But we all know what is meant by the swallowing razorblades metaphor so I regret even mentioning it.

The aftermath of a razor cut would hurt. Like any other cut. The pain experienced by the simple act of swallowing is more of a "saw throat".

And I asked a friend who got Covid too. She mainly had a sore throat but it was mild like mine. Sample size of two isn't much.

The case of the person Lander was escorting (his bid for asylum) was dismissed. The guy had been "stripped of all status" by the judge.

Lander talks about due process not being followed. Is a judicial warrant required or is the due process that the guy gets kicked out of the country when his asylum claim fails?

Or is due process that he gets to appeal, in which case his status is not totally stripped and the judge is the one not following due process?

How does this compare to when judge Dugan helped an ICE target evade arrest by getting him to evacuate via the jury door.

Ireland will not be asserting if genocide is being committed, but asserting its interpretation of the Genocide Convention.

This is the same approach taken by Ireland in the Ukraine v Russia case.

The current definition of Genocide is set out in Article II of the Genocide Convention:

Genocide means any of the following acts committed with intent to destroy, in whole or in part, a national, ethnical, racial or religious group, as such:
(a) Killing members of the group;
(b) Causing serious bodily or mental harm to members of the group;
(c) Deliberately inflicting on the group conditions of life calculated
to bring about its physical destruction in whole or in part;
(d) Imposing measures intended to prevent births within the group;
(e) Forcibly transferring children of the group to another group.

To constitute genocide, it also needs to be established that the victims are deliberately targeted — not randomly — because of their real or perceived membership of one of the four groups protected under the Convention. This means that the target of destruction must be the group, as such, or even a part of it, but not its members as individuals.
