Granting fascists access to other fascists to become super fascist groups is the most dangerous part of social media.
Given that most of the main social media platforms now are owned by capitalist fascist dickheads, its only going to get worse.
If social networking like Lemmy or Mastodon were more mainstream, we could just name, shame and isolate these monsters. If they can't interact with people outside of their group without getting instanbanned or insta-defederated, then they'll either delve deeper and deeper into their nonsense, until their instances gets raided or they'll venture out of their alt-right safe-haven and get hit with reality and rejoin society.
Didn't he already write a public letter explaining how what they did does reveal ads, but that it was unfair because they went ad hunting and searched for ads on a page?
Boohoo, just because they over-searched to see it happen, means that it can and does happen.
This is a failure on your part, not theirs. This is how scientific research is conducted.
Not that you understand science or handling failure, Elon.
See I was thinking the same thing. But if I may interject for just a moment, what you're referring to as Stamp Collecting, is in fact, GNU/Stamp Collecting, or as I've recently taken to calling it, GNU plus Stamp Collecting.
Yeah, and when the leader of said area is also the Giant Rat that makes all of the rules, it kinda feels like there's a much worse issue than a rat infestation.
Okay but for more clarity sake. LINUX IS NOT UNIX. I don’t care how many certifications or random university teachers mix the two up, they’re wrong.
Linux has only one bit of history with Unix and that is the fact it was made because there was no easily accessible Unix source code for Linus and other students to use. Linus made a Unix-like os. Hence Lin-ux. But it’s not Unix. It doesn’t use any Unix source code. It’s not based on System V or any other official Unix version. Linux is Unix in name only. Its POSIX compliant and has a few POSIX certified distros, but it’s not Unix.
This fact is what made it so favorable to devs worldwide. Unix having his history as a proprietary operating system with a confusing license situation where AT&T would seemingly go sue happy at random made Unix scary and unfavorable.
Linux was built from the ground up. It had no such history. If Linux were Unix this couldn’t possibly have been true, and it certainly wouldn’t have gone on to take over the server and smart phone markets.
Linux didn’t have any of the untouchable legal issues that Unix had. Linux was built from the ground up without access to Unix source code, that was entirely why it was written.
And now we have Linux, the most used kernel on the face of this earth. Used in almost every server. All android devices. Chrome books. The Steam deck. It’s included on every copy of Windows.
Linux won the Unix wars. And it’s all the fault of the very creator of Unix. AT&T, in their greed, killed the creation they sought to profit from.
Then the minimum wage needs to stop being an arbitrary number every couple of decades.
It needs to be a calculation, but the rich will never allow that.
