  • Is your toe nail completely missing, or do you still have some root growing? I have two that have a bit of root that just grows and gets uncomfortable until I pull it out. Not sure is trade the rest of my nails for that tbh

  • Makes one look at this particular crowd's big push to not vote in elections against a wannabe bigot fascist a little differently

Maybe for some, but I've been saying for over a year that the "leftist" "don't vote" crowd was actively shooting the cause the supposedly believe in right in the leg.

Nothing says "I believe in leftist ideals and the plight of the proletariat" like actively promoting pathways that are explicitly letting the Nazis take power.

  • Dude in iT, never had that problem and even doubled my salary through linked in. Anytime I actually interact with a recruiter I lay down my bare minimums and won't even bother responding further/block if they can't hit that.

That said, LinkedIn is a shit hole not worth touching more than once every couple of years if you're not looking for a gig. I don't even really interact with people I actually know in there because the platform is terrible and 90% of public posts are from sociopaths who despise work life balance.

  • You're confusing a personal and moral decision with an economic one.

Now the people who run the company, are different. They are humans and they are capable of making moral decisions.

I'm not confusing them, I'm refusing to accept a moral dodge that a corporation (which is just a bunch of people hiding behind a legal piece of paper) and the people making the decision should be held to different standards.

It's like saying that a leadership position can't commit crimes, but the person elected to that position can. The person is still making the call, but it's somehow different because reasons.

  • if the choice was between "collaborate" and "stop existing" it becomes murkier.

No it doesn't. We already established how much of a defense 'just following orders' allows, and that's exactly as much defense these companies deserve: none.

  • I used to roll over and start writing code in the notebook I kept on her bedside table. I liked to call her my muse, because that post but clarity would do wonders for the problems I was working on.

  • a super tiny crack pipe with a bowl that's already half ash lol

That used to be my normal until I switched to carts and my lungs have thanked my every hit for years. I know that flower tastes better, but the added shit that comes with smoke isn't worth it IMO. Personal preference is personal and all that, but yeah, there's probably part of the particular experience that you relate to and is nostalgic or some shit.
