Oh no, that sucks. If you generally like turn based combat I would give it another go. The first few hours are fairly boring but there are some very cool battles later in the game.

Yeah.. I’ll probably end up doing it eventually. It’s just really lame to get hyped for the final fight and be told “go do side quests for a few more hours and then come back.”

The writing definitely feels very amateurish. Which I agree is a mismatch with the otherwise high quality nature of the game.

I like the overall themes though. It was serviceable enough for me.

They need the rom to dump the assets. They can’t legally redistribute those.

These modifications are possible because the game has been decompiled back to modifiable source code. At this point they can add anything to the game with enough dedication.

Their repairability does suck but they can still be repaired. It’s definitely not a trash it as soon as something fails situation.

It's interesting that they keep harping on "when upgrading from an Intel-based Mac". I guess their data shows that a lot of users are still on Intel chips. Or maybe it just makes a better comparison?

A MBP with 128GB of unified memory really outclasses most personal computers. They're not wrong about that.
