  • You have sources on that first bit lol? I’m not sure what you’re talking about.

Unless you’re meaning jokes about fascist voters falling down a manhole or something?

  • I think they’re counting on a large amount of them not caring once the symbols are out of sight, and after they smooth over the initial outrage with a bit of PR.

  • Something that's important to note though, is that the Cat example isn't a great way to envision this phenomenon in general. Schrodinger's Cat was actually made as an argument against this interpretation, by blowing the behavior up to a macro scale, where it seemed absurd. While you can draw analogues and all that, I'd recommend against really thinking that macro scale objects are in a multitude of obviously different states at once, all the time. It's a path to some of the really kooky fake-science "quantum" stuff that get's repeated.

Like, you're never going to see a physicist argue that a person is both alive and dead in another room, because of the technical chance that they tunneled halfway through the wall.

  • What's funny is that physicists approximate and round way more than engineers do.

  • I don’t think you’re actually a communist. Not a real one at least.

  • It really is oppression to get responded to.

  • I don't think it's a coincidence that Winnie the Pooh was latched on to so well by Western audiences. The United States is a perennial winner in the racism olympics. Different crowds can draw connections on different parts of stuff.

  • Thinking people who disagree with you politically are bots or paid posters isn’t a healthy mindset to have.

  • Going to be real, that’s not what happened. They had a mod in a large community there, that was a chaser, and that was misgendering people. They wouldn’t remove them, so we left. We’ve got a large amount of trans people on our instance and mod team, so we didn’t want to be exposed to that.

  • It might not be racist in your areas, but I’ve absolutely seen a lot of people be racist with it in the US. A lot of are from there, so I’ll admit we have a perspective bias, but when a large majority of the people we seeing spreading it are from that racist, US grown, bloc of posters, it kind of primes a response to it.

  • You’re actually just wrong lol. Cuba has a larger HDI than most countries in the region. And that’s while being economically strangled by the United States.

And what’s this authoritarianism you’re talking about with Cuba? It’s a democracy. And it’s got better rights for minorities than the United States.

  • Have you considered logging off and taking a nap?

  • Hey, that one was decent actually! Good job!

  • As a Hexbear poster, I have abandoned my morality and kneel at the altar of the Russo-Sino Satanist.

  • I will admit that I am having fun posting.

  • I bet the people who had their families killed by American death squads probably hate the country more.

  • You can't just swap words out and assume the framework is the same. It literally makes no sense. Changing one word can, and does, have a huge effect on overall meaning of a sentence.

  • Land reform is authoritarianism! You can't just take other people's property. That's against the rules!

    Think of the landlords.
