My idea is more to have (configurable) set of commands that you can run, where its results are received mostly as a text. In this way, you can interact via terminal more easily, I'd imagine.

Of course waves can spin, it just does so in some conceptual "dimension".

When they say "It is obvious", they mean it is an exercise may take hours. At least it does not take days!

I heard developers find it rather easy to do reproducible build in Nix, so it is more utilized over dev landscape. Basically a competitor of docker, and quite significant one at that. That's why it is considered big, despite that it is niche from desktop linux pov.

Well, lots of people blinded by hype here.. Obv it is not simply statistical machine, but imo it is something worse. Some approximation machinery that happen to work, but gobbles up energy in cost. Something only possible becauss we are not charging companies enough electricity costs, smh.

Wayland gets the hate because compositors are authoritative so you cannot e.g. install your own window manager, taskbar, etc. It would be good if there were specifications governing these, but there isn't.
