Imagine your favourite fancy restaurant suddenly adopts an extreme “Batman” theme. Same food, but just hardcore decorated a la the Dark Knight. You’d probably still go there, but you’d have a different time. And you’d reconsider the types of people you’d bring there, etc.

Brand is far more than the logo in the top corner, and I think marketing textbooks are going to use Twitter -> X as an example of how not to do things.

You need to factor effects from gerrymandering and other forms of vote suppression. I think there’s a lot of wealth trapped in the hands of a few very shitty people, which has allowed them to shape / distort perceptions of just how “popular” their values really are.

I’ve often fantasized about a 360 cam mounted on the tip of the vertical stabilizer, and then the crew can offer VR headsets that put you “in” the 360 lookout. It’d be like flying while sitting on top of the plane! Cool even in clouds / inclement weather. Could even stream those feeds to the public for cheap tours of the skies. Would be extra interesting during landing and takeoff, I think. Maybe have a few cams around the plane. Bottom, top, each wing, cockpit, etc.

I’ve actually abandoned Memmy in favour of Wefwef / Voyager because there is still no way to just hide a damned post. I have to upvote / downvote to mark as read, and only then can I clear “read” posts.

Such a simple feature and I was losing my mind without it. How are you all hiding posts? Or do you vote on literally everything? Foreign language posts? Posts from obscure communities you have no opinion on?

Anyway, I’ll be watching changelogs for a bit in anticipation of “hide” features, but Voyager seems to have it all already.
