  • Human drivers have an extremely long tail of idiocy. Most people are good (or at least appropriately cautious) drivers, but there is a very small percentage of people who are extremely aggressive and reckless. The fact that self driving tech is never emotional, reckless or impaired pretty much guarantees that it will always statistically beat humans, even in somewhat basic forms.

  • Right, the entire phrase, at least in the US, is intended to short circuit the broader conversion about roles and mechanisms of government. It's begging the question. What US conservatives call "fiscal responsibility" typically just means "I don't think the government should spend money on things which don't personally benefit me." Or even "I want other people's children to pay for my entitlements."

  • You can almost always deny to accept the exchange fee and get your own bank's rate.

  • What party runs on the platform of fiscal irresponsibility?

  • "I don't understand what those words mean and I'm taking the coward's way out of this conversation."

  • Crypto bros are just upset that Trump has brought his toxic brand to their grift.

It's meant to be an expert focused security framework for those with the expertise to both understand and implement robust security policies. Your average user daily driving Linux or even running a few self hosted services doesn't really need complex security policies, and is definitely better served by some simpler tools.

  • I really think I like GraphGear 500 more than 1000. I do not like Kuru Toga. Right now I am all in on Ohto.

  • I am a fellow mechanical pencil enjoyer. GraphGear for life, but I have been having an affair with the Ohto MS01. All in 0.3 because it forces me to have good hand writing.

  • 5 is the objectively correct answer here.

  • America will bring down the entire western world. There is no option but to fight.

  • Wanting to exterminate ideas is definitely not a fascist tendency.

I really cannot wait for the pendulum to swing back the other way. I am going to be absolutely insufferable about it until I die. These people have gone so far over the line.

  • It's just a very common foot gun, especially in legacy code where it is not explicit in the design. Even when you have proper getters and setters, it's way to easy for someone to overload the scope of some object, either intentionally or accidentally and modify it inappropriately.
