It will eventually. Incompetence and stupidity might not catch up with you immediately, but it's like an immortal snail tirelessly pursuing you. Eventually it will always get you.
You realize that the people who pay for content are subsidizing your ability to pirate, right? I personally don't hold it against you, but the idea that you'd look down on the people paying to produce the content you enjoy for free is kind of idiotic.
I've been using Ubuntu professionally and as a daily driver for more than a decade now. I've tried the other major ones but Ubuntu is just no fuss. I can stand up a fresh system in 20 minutes and there is an enormous support base. I just don't have time to be a Linux hipster these days.

A ton of people are young and had legitimately never seen a primary before 2016 and were apparently under the impression that they are traditionally these sanctified contests where political saints exert enormous effort to ensure fairness and balance.
The reality is that the 2016 primary was neither unusually especially contentious or corrupt. Any other view is either ignorant or malicious as far as I'm concerned.
Truth social is in it for the grift, not for the heat. They aren't really the revolutionary counterculture fortress they make themselves out to be. They just figured out that stupid people are easy to monetize. Which is rapidly becoming MBA canon for all social media.
