This is formula 1, when do team's or fia learn from prior mistakes...on serious note..will be pretty wild if Horner get him self ousted due to doing something inaproriate, I would think some one who managed to bring his team so far would not do something stupid to only loose it all...especially in current age...
Agreed..I think it will also depend on how merc does with or without Lewis. As long as merc stays top 3 I doubt we will see him go, now if merc slips into 4/5 consistently it might be an issue.
This sound like a take from some one who never tried vr games or used a vr headset... Once you use even current quest 2/3 you will quickly realize the possibilities and advantages vr can have...the issue is the tech is still not quiet there yet for average consumer (and it was not even close for last 20 years for sure)...we need better compact graphics processing units, and denser screens with better optics designs..these will all happen in time. Assuming we don't die from global warming or ww3. Once the hurdle of high cost/low dpi/relatively limited processing power of now is overcome, vr/ar will be defacto standard for PC gaming and work, as using fixed screens will be inefficient/more expensive. I would use my quest pro for work if it had 40% higher dpi/clarity and I cn easily see the tech getting there in 2-3 years time. Mobile GPU power will take a decade to run games with graphics of today ( I am referring to stand alone headsets, as pcvr is to cumbersome for casual gaming, this will improve with better software and wifi development but wifi 6 is bearly good enough today, so we likely see wifi7 come along and usher in dedicated headsets with console coupling (e.g. wireless VR headset + PlayStation ) (better mobile processors for faster decoding will help a ton as well). Vr/Ar will continue to grow and once it gets critical mass will explode as we are seeing with electric cars.
Agreed, if aston/mclaren is consistent next year merc looking at p3. Worst part is their upgrades have rarely resulted in consistent improvement, and it seems they still have no real clue on how to make a leap that gets them ahead.
I remember being at aiche conference in 2018 I think, and there was a keynote speaker that helped draft the Paris agreement, talking about need to reduce co2 emissions and how they got their projections. Thus speaker was followed by speaker (VP of production or something) from Chvron or Shell and they basically presented that they see minimal to no change in oil demand or production, EVs will minimally reduce global consumption of oil and effectively for next 100 years they project business a usual for the most part...it was extremely depressing as I believe projections Shell/Chevron as they have the power behind them to maintain them, while the scientific community has to convince the average public to enact laws... Depressing...
Not really sure about that. Merc has been really inconsistent in performance, especially on sprint weekend... But this was definitely an abysmal weekend... We shall see how they perform next to confirm if low ride height did aid them..but would not be surprised...if that's the case as well...
I mean what do ppl expect, it looks like it has normal road tires and weighs probably at 5 k pound... Any truck with that weight/tire setup would struggle...not defending tesla but the expectations are quiet off...
That makes sense. Hopefully Ukrain gets the agms, and manages to breakthrough. I think that's the only hope, as I agree with others that the west will get tired and start to slow down support for Ukrain which will eventually lead to Russian victory. It become a war of attrition, if Ukraine manage breakthrough or outlast Russian ability to put ppl to grinder then they will manage to win, but honestly it feels as though Putin is ready to put everything on the line to win this...
Would that also help with insane amount of mines, trenches and dumb ww2era weapons Russian is using to hold ground. Which seems to be the crux of the issue. Just like Ukrain shown, holding ground and digging in seems to be very effective strategy that might only be overcome with sheer numbers (and death...). Ukraine hope was finding a weak point in defense and punching through, but it seems that there are no real "weak" points so far. The question is, can allies provide Ukrain with weapons that can help with breaking through current defenses? So far it seems traditional weapons however advanced, don't solve the issue of dumb mines, trenchs, and dug in positions for either side..
Would be a good confirmation...but when u see max pull the laps he does in same car...perez should be at least managing to keep up, not get consistently outdone by slower cars...its maybe okay he gets 3/4th but beignout of top 5 so often is pretty bad... It would be fine as well if he would convert these out of top 5 places to podium but it seems half the time he can't finish the race..i do wounded if Red Bull will bother keeping him for next year...there been no improvement at all over last races... And lewis is really close to grabbing that second place...might get down to part race, will surely exciting.
Yeah...it definitely not helped..if next weekend Danny gets points and finishes ahead of perez (e.g. another dnf or silly crash that throws him in back) ..it will be sealed as Lewis is then likely to get p2....assuming Merc actually continues to perform....
Fingers crossed...the question still is, will this allow them to take a step forward and fight rb next year, which is quiet a large gap, or will this just make them slightly faster #2...hopefully RB makes a mistake and does not improve next year letting other catch up, but unlikely.... Also hope either Perez improves or rb#2 gets a better driver to close gap to Max so there is at least some tension there...
I think the concern is with emissions from burn up process as well as launching rockets to replace said satellites. Do wonder what ends up being prdouced/deposited in the atmosphere during burn up and how it compares to natural objects?
It's not really a sensor issue, as much as having software that can interpret the sensor data and act on it. Cameras and lidar effectively provide same thing, distance to objects in 2d/3d. But u need software to process that data and identify where the road is, where little jonny is, and what to do...arguably, the distance measuring problem has been solved for a while with lidar or with cameras, it's object identification and reaction to that info that's not solved. You can't really solve it with traditional if/else programming, while AI gives you only a probability of what something is or what action to do...so the problem is hard.
But ntsb/dmv whatever needs to come up with a way to test and classify autonomous driving software...probably doing real world test and identifying edge cases where it fails.
Lol watch 2021 season and before to get a feeling if u like max or not...i cant like him after the way he raced then 😐
