So we’re an oligarchy now, right? I mean, pretty much feels like a few, elite rich ruling over the poor… isn’t that what an oligarchy is?

Plex, unfortunately, is the best answer for this right now. Easiest to set up and maintain, the client apps are fine, you may have to fiddle with the Apple TV to be pain free though.

I have a few raspberry pi’s with kodi running and linked to my media served over nfs, which works well, just not as polished and fast as plex.

Personally, as soon as the Apple TV client gets fixed for Jellyfin, will probably drop plex altogether. The iOS app is stellar so not sure why it hasn’t been ported yet. I also have an easier time with my media playback with Jellyfin over plex, and you don’t need to pay for good hardware transcoding, it’s just the ui is so god awful!

Cool, but what’s going to stop him? Another “watchdog” agency “slamming” him and “voicing concern”? The slow cogs of the government bureaucracy? I think they learned their lessons last time, that there are no REAL guardrails or consequences for not upholding the gentleman’s agreement, no real lash back for lying or deceiving, and they have a hand book that was written years before he was ever elected this time that will guide them to the perfect christofascist state. But sure, let’s raise more alarms now, I’m sure that will stop him.

How can a financially broken, over stressed, oppressed public fight? This is by design, to further oppress, divide and conquer. But I’ll wait over here with the other couple million people that have been screaming this for months till the shit hits the fan and we can actually start working toward a common greater good.
